Benny Blanco’s Shocking Confession: Failed Attempts to Woo Selena Gomez Before Love Blossomed

Benny Blanco, Selena Gomez‘s fiance, openly discussed their relationship journey and confessed in an embarrassing manner about his past efforts to win her heart.

This week, I had the privilege of being a guest on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, where my partner and I shared intimate details about our love story. Simultaneously, we took the opportunity to promote our freshly released album, titled “I Said I Love You First.

In a lengthy conversation with the ex-monk, the 37-year-old record producer admitted that prior to igniting a connection with Selena, who is 32, he attempted to introduce her to one of his friends as a potential match.

‘I thought she hated me,’ Benny confessed. ‘Obviously, 99% of it was in my head.’

He mentioned that he was conversing with her, and expressed, “Wow, I have a lot of great single male friends… We often have dinner at our place. Maybe you could join us some time.

Speaking about their initial get-together, Blanco (also known as Benjamin Levin) mentioned that at the time, he hadn’t given any thought to a romantic connection with Selena. Instead, they were discussing their perfect dates and various topics.

Initially, upon meeting the Texan, the seasoned songwriter expressed: “I wished she could join our circle of friends.

On Friday, they put out their collaborative album, which came after the individual releases of three songs: “Scared of Loving You,” “Call Me When You Break Up,” and “Sunset Blvd.

To make the album a reality, they enlisted the help of other musicians such as Gracie Abrams, Charli XCX, and Finneas.

After the album release, I took to Instagram to express my gratitude to Benny, saying “Thank you for serving as my own private diary during this entire creative journey.

These tunes symbolize our history, current moment, and what lies ahead… a journey I eagerly look forward to sharing with you, starting today and lasting an eternity. I’m grateful for the boundless affection you’ve poured into crafting this project alongside me.

She publicly acknowledged the team of collaborators, expressing her thanks for enabling her to express her deepest, authentic self through their artistic collaboration. She went on to say that she will always be thankful for their faith in crafting something extraordinary together.

Later on, hinting at a future narrated rendition of our project, she shared, “Benny and I accumulated so many wonderful memories while crafting our latest album.

I’m excited to share some behind-the-scenes stories about these songs with you all. ‘I Said I Love You First – Explained: Narrated by Selena Gomez’ is now available for digital download on my official store.

In February the lovestruck pair delighted fans as they announced their joint music project.

Gomez announced on Instagram that his upcoming album titled “I Said I Love You First,” collaborated with his good friend Benny Blanco, will be released on the 21st of March.

The message went on to say, ‘Our debut track, titled “Scared of Loving You,” has been released! Stream it across all platforms right away. If you’d like some merchandise or signed goods related to the album, pre-orders are available now. We’re thrilled to bring this unique creation to you soon!’

In that moment, Blanco added a comment saying, “‘I love you, my dear.’ This comment garnered over 50,000 likes in just a few hours.

In late 2023, he and the previous child actor made their romantic relationship known to the public, as they had quietly been dating for around half a year prior.

A little over a year has passed since I shared the exciting news of their engagement, and now, I’m thrilled to report that they have decided to take their relationship to the next level by getting married! To celebrate this new chapter in their lives, they’ve splurged on a magnificent multi-million-dollar mansion right here in sunny Los Angeles.
