The situation arises following a strong reaction from fans, upset about the engagement, due to Blanco’s previous actions on social media resurfacing and causing problems for him.

Blanco posted the video on both his Instagram and TikTok, skillfully choosing Selena’s hit song “Good for You” as its soundtrack.

The song features the lyric ‘I’m a marquise diamond,’ which is the cut of stone on the Only Murders in the Building actress’ engagement ring.

The couple clinked champagne glasses before the video cut to Selena looking overjoyed.

Blanco’s video reveals the romantic picnic took place on a soundstage. 

On December 11, Selena made the exciting announcement of her engagement by posting a picture of her ring along with affectionate photos capturing moments with her fiancé.

‘Forever begins now,’ she captioned the post.

The pair began their romantic relationship in June 2023, having been friends for ten years prior. Their paths crossed and they collaborated professionally when Selena embarked on her music career.

He’s responsible for creating three of the artist’s most popular songs, such as “I Can’t Get Enough” from 2021 and “Same Old Love” from 2015.

Blanco’s plan incorporated Taco Bell, which happens to be Selena’s preferred cuisine. So significant was its presence during the romantic occasion that some fans speculated Taco Bell might have supported the engagement celebration.

Yet, although Taco Bell denies any corporate participation, they have extended their warmest congratulations to the couple instead.

At the heart of this ring lies a stunning marquise-shaped diamond, roughly 8 carats in weight, delicately placed on a sparkling yellow gold band adorned with smaller stones.

It’s not the first occasion that Taco Bell has been involved in a significant, romantic incident between the two lovebirds.

This year for Valentine’s Day, Blanco mentioned that he treated her to a Taco Bell meal, prepared movie theater style nachos for her, located her preferred Texas pickles, and even deep-fried them himself.

Last month, Selena posted a photo of Blanco on Instagram with the caption, “You not just love me without limits… but you also never fail to get me my Taco Bell Mexican pizza.

Last month, Blanco revealed that it was Gomez who made the first move on Kai Cenat’s Twitch stream.

‘She asked me out. It was crazy, it was crazy. She literally asked me… like we were just talking, and then she said, “You wanna get dinner?” And I went to the dinner, and I had no idea,’ he explained.

Blanco asserted that he didn’t feel anxious since he was well acquainted with Gomez, both personally and professionally.

He assured Cenat that he wasn’t feeling anxious because they had been friends for quite some time, approximately 10 to 15 years.

Blanco stated they both had beverages, yet it took him some time to comprehend that he and the founder of Rare Beauty were actually out on a date.

I hadn’t realized we were on a date, and she said, “I would have chosen a different outfit for this outing.

‘And I was like, “Wait, what? We’re on a date?” I had no idea. No idea we were on a date,’ he said.

She departed ahead of schedule as she needed to get to a location for a video shoot the following day. We met up again about two days afterwards, and at that point, I began thinking, “Wow, I believe she might have feelings for me.” Then, quite spontaneously, I leaned in and kissed her, and since then, our story has unfolded naturally.
