Benjamin Bratt Reveals Surprise Future for Bail Organa in Star Wars
Approximately three years since its debut on Disney+, the acclaimed series “Andor” has wrapped up its two-season journey. This stellar production is now widely recognized as one of the top Star Wars productions, with a remarkable cast spearheaded by Diego Luna. The show created quite a stir in the galaxy, far, far away due to its focus on new characters, but it didn’t forget its roots entirely, incorporating some familiar faces from the franchise. One such character is Bail Organa, portrayed by Emmy-nominated actor Benjamin Bratt, taking over from Jimmy Smits. There’s speculation about whether this new Star Wars lead will reprise his role in future projects. The actor shares his thoughts on the matter.
During a chat with Entertainment Weekly, Benjamin Bratt expressed interest in playing Bail Organa in upcoming Star Wars ventures. While it’s uncertain when the character might appear, Bratt is eager to rejoin the cast, particularly if ‘Andor’ creator Tony Gilroy is part of the project.
I’d be more than happy to assist Tony on his next project, should he need me for craft services, given my high regard for him. Unfortunately, our paths rarely crossed during production as he was mostly overseas due to the writers’ strike. Despite this, I admire the exceptional crew of writers, directors, and actors he assembled, creating a flawless production from top to bottom. In my opinion, this is television at its finest. I feel both grateful and proud to have a minor role in it.
More to come.
