Guy Ritchie’s latest film, the dark comedy thriller Wife & Dog, is set to come out later this year. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and James Norton, the movie will premiere in the US on October 23rd, distributed by Black Bear. A UK release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it’s likely to be around the same time.
The thriller, featuring Rosamund Pike, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Cosmo Jarvis, Pip Torrens, and Paddy Considine, delves into the cutthroat world of the British upper class. It follows the wealthy Fairbank family as they fight amongst themselves to determine who will inherit their power.
Details are still scarce, but it seems their excessive ambition could ultimately cause them to fail.

Cumberbatch has described the movie as having familiar genre elements, but with a fresh, unique twist. He compared it to other films by the director, such as The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and Wrath of Man, noting its innovative approach.

This isn’t the only movie Guy Ritchie is working on. He’s also developing a film called In The Grey, which will star Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Rosamund Pike – who previously worked with Ritchie – among others.
The filmmaker’s TV shows MobLand and The Gentlemen are also set to return for their second seasons.
The movie Wife & Dog will come out in US theaters on October 23rd. It’s expected to be released on the same date in the UK, though a confirmed UK release date hasn’t been announced yet.
