Ben Stiller’s new Christmas movie confirms Disney+ release date
As a long-time fan who’s grown up watching Ben Stiller’s comedic brilliance, I can hardly contain my excitement for his upcoming movie, Nutcrackers! After a six-year hiatus from leading roles, it feels like Christmas came early this year. The plot seems to be a perfect blend of humor and heartwarming family moments – right up Stiller’s alley.
Ben Stiller’s Christmas movie Nutcrackers has confirmed its release date on Disney+.
The comedy-drama, helmed by director David Gordon Green, is slated for release on a streaming platform starting from November 29. This entertaining production will be accessible to stream in the United States on Hulu on that very same date.
The film centers around Mike (Stiller), a dedicated professional on the brink of finalizing the most significant deal of his career. However, unexpected events cause him to leave urban life behind and settle on a farm in small-town Ohio, where he now cares for his newly orphaned nephews.
“The four rowdy boys cause trouble every which way they turn. What Mike thought was going to be a quick trip turns into an unexpected adventure,” reads the synopsis.
As the holiday season nears, he uncovers the kind-hearted reasons behind his nephews’ playful antics. This revelation leaves him torn between pursuing his professional life and becoming the supportive uncle his nephews require.
In his initial leading film appearance in more than six years, Stiller takes on the role of Nutcracker, simultaneously functioning as a producer under his Red Hour Films label.
More recently, Stiller has been seen filming for the upcoming Netflix movie sequel of “Happy Gilmore,” a project that started shooting last month.
In a new turn of events, the actor is set to reprise his character as the elderly Hal L. Stiller, the former nursing home orderly, who was recently captured on camera sporting his iconic horseshoe mustache and fuller hair, both showing distinct signs of graying compared to his appearance in the 1996 film.
Furthermore, Adam Sandler will once again play the character Happy Gilmore, while Christopher McDonald steps into the shoes of his golfing adversary, Shooter McGavin. Lastly, Julie Bowen takes on the role of Happy’s girlfriend, Virginia Venit.
On November 29, 2024, you can watch the new Nutcracker movie on both Disney+ and Hulu. As for Happy Gilmore 2, it’s still uncertain when it will be available, but we know Netflix will be streaming it.
