Ben Miller’s beloved ITV detective drama announces exciting news
Ben Miller’s beloved ITV detective series Professor T has announced an exciting update.
Prior to the upcoming fourth season, set to be aired this year, it’s been announced that the show will return for a fifth installment.
As an ardent admirer, I’d like to share my fascination with the captivating series, “Professor T,” which is inspired by its Belgian counterpart. This gripping show follows my journey as a brilliant criminologist grappling with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I use my unique skills and insights to aid the police in unraveling intricate crimes.
ITV announced that the fifth season will feature “unforeseen romantic entanglements and intricate mysteries for the Professor and his team to handle.
1. In this scenario, there’s a boxing match that becomes brutal and violent, leading to severe injuries (a boxing fight that spirals out of control, resulting in serious harm).
2. At this exclusive spa, a string of mysterious, abrupt deaths have occurred (an upscale spa has experienced a series of sudden, inexplicable fatalities).
Beloved characters may need to make difficult decisions, as the situation is critical for Professor T and his group, with a lot at stake.
Additionally, it is now official that Zoë Wanamaker from “Shadow and Bone” has been added to the cast, playing the role of Professor’s Aunt Zelda Radclyffe. Meanwhile, Miller will reappear alongside Frances de la Tour, Juliet Stevenson, Barney White, Sunetra Sarker, and Rhian Blundell in the series as well.
The actor portraying Professor T expressed immense excitement about the prospect of a fifth season, hinting that his character would face “an intriguing challenge unlike any other: the mystery of love.
It’s incredibly gratifying to see the global audience loving our show so much, and we’re bursting with creative plans to make the fifth series even more unique, heartfelt, and full of surprises,” Miller stated. “Here’s to another season filled with puzzling crimes, historic architecture, and ironing tweed jackets…
According to ITV’s assistant drama and comedy commissioner, Callum Dziedzic, this series is keeping everyone on the edge of their seats with its intriguing crimes, engaging characters, and a talented cast headed by the exceptional Ben Miller. It manages to captivate both long-time enthusiasts and those just tuning in for the first time, consistently surprising and delighting them all.
As it evolves, it has carved out a unique niche distinct from its origin, and we eagerly anticipate unveiling the next phase to our audience.
All episodes of Professor T are available to stream now on ITVX.
