As a die-hard fan of the chilling and suspenseful “Conjuring” series, I am absolutely thrilled to see Ben Hardy, a familiar face from my beloved “EastEnders,” joining the cast of “The Conjuring 4.” The thought of Peter Beale investigating paranormal activities alongside Ed and Lorraine Warren is a tantalizing prospect that has me on the edge of my seat.
Former EastEnders star Ben Hardy has landed his next movie role in The Conjuring 4.
Actor known for portraying Peter Beale on a soap opera has teamed up with returning stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga in the fourth installment of the horror series. Additionally, Mia Tomlinson from The Beast Must Die will also appear, as reported by Deadline.
In the upcoming movie known as “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” the characters of Ed and Lorraine Warren, portrayed by Wilson and Farmiga respectively, will once again take on their roles as paranormal investigators. As for Hardy and Tomlinson, details about their parts in the film have yet to be revealed.
As an avid fan, I can’t help but be intrigued by the fact that this franchise draws inspiration from the authentic case files of a real-life detective duo, married and working together to solve mysteries. However, when it comes to the specifics of the upcoming series, Last Rites, details are being tightly guarded, keeping us all on our toes in anticipation!
This week, filming started in the UK for the movie that’s said to be the last in the series.
Michael Chaves is taking charge of the project, with the screenplay penned by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, a collaborator on The Conjuring 3 along with its original creator, James Wan. Wan and Peter Safran are set to produce this upcoming production.
After the releases of “The Conjuring” in 2013, “The Conjuring 2” in 2016, and “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” in 2021 – all directed by Chaves – we have a new movie titled “Last Rites“.
The world depicted in the “Conjuring” series has been broadened with numerous standalone films, such as “Annabelle”, “Annabelle: Creation”, “Annabelle Comes Home”, “The Nun”, and its sequel, “The Nun 2”.
In January 2023, Wan shared updates on the advancement of the upcoming movie. He urged fans to stay patient, since the team was diligently working to ensure the story was perfectly crafted.

We prefer to proceed cautiously, ensuring accuracy and capturing the appropriate emotions in our Warren tales. As we approach what may be the conclusion, we aim to tell the most suitable story.
The Conjuring 4 is set to release in cinemas on September 5, 2025.
