Ben Davis and Motofumi Kogi (known as POGGY) have released their new “Work in Many Forms” collection. Building on a previous collaboration from last October that marked Ben Davis’s 90th anniversary, this new line updates some of the most popular items. The collection offers a modern take on workwear, combining Ben Davis’s durable designs with POGGY’s unique style and high-quality Japanese techniques.

This new collection features nine pieces designed for practical, everyday wear. Key items include a denim jacket and wide-leg pants – a look central to the designer’s style – which have been updated with a modern fit and made from unique Japanese denim. The denim has a vintage feel thanks to the use of beige threads. The collection also includes a denim vest inspired by 1970s workwear, perfect for warmer weather, and clothing featuring original artwork by Japanese calligrapher Ryo Uchiyama.

These garments are made entirely in Japan with careful attention to historical accuracy and quality craftsmanship. The collection brings back a classic detail – silver-tone buttons featuring the brand’s signature red gorilla – for the first time in a quarter-century. It also incorporates a vintage label from the 1970s and takes design cues from the natural wear and tear of a Japanese carpenter’s well-loved work pants.

The new Ben Davis “Work in Many Forms” collection will be available starting April 10th at THE GROUND depot in Osaka, BENCH AT THE GREENE in Tokyo, and online at the official Ben Davis website.
