Ben Affleck’s Kids Follow in Gwyneth Paltrow’s Daughter’s Footsteps with Regular Teen Jobs
Ben Affleck revealed that his two eldest children with Jennifer Garner are not slackers.
That is because Violet, 19, and Fin, 16, both have jobs already.
One example could be “Working at an ordinary retail job, much like any typical teenager, without disclosing the specifics of the job in the movie.

In a chat show appearance, the actor known for playing Batman, discussing his past marriage to Jennifer Lopez and its dissolution, clarified his decision not to splurge on costly footwear for his son, Samuel, despite his reported wealth of around $150 million.
In a playful manner, Affleck recounted their conversation: ‘He mentioned these sneakers, and I responded, “These sneakers cost $6,000! What on earth are you thinking about? How will you ever afford them if you’re just mowing lawns?”‘
‘He was like, ‘We have the money.’ I was like, ‘I have the money! You’re broke.”
Affleck emphasized that he desires to provide them with all they need, yet he feels it’s important for his kids to earn what they desire themselves.
You adore your children and wish to provide them with everything they need and help them in every way. However, I believe it is a disservice to them if you don’t set boundaries and teach them the value of hard work by not allowing them to experience the effort required to achieve their own desires.
His youngest child now coming to age and learning the money lesson from his father.
‘And yeah, my son, who’s 13, he’s reckoning with that reality right now,’ Affleck said.
He doesn’t have any high-end, extravagant shoes in his wardrobe. To clarify, he does own shoes, but they aren’t the type that are ridiculously expensive or flashy.
Following Affleck’s praise of his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, as ‘spectacular’ towards their children.

Lopez attended the Los Angeles premiere of her ex-husband, Marc Anthony’s movie ‘The Accountant 2’ on April 25th, accompanied by her 17-year-old twins Max and Emme, as well as their combined family’s children.
On the red carpet, Ben commended J.Lo for managing to keep a great rapport with his children, even after their separation.
In conversation with Entertainment Tonight, he expressed: “Jennifer Lopez is simply outstanding, she’s wonderful with my children, and our relationship remains strong over time.
I greatly admire and appreciate her, for she is an immensely significant individual with high integrity. Her children are truly remarkable, and I find myself deeply fond of them as well.
‘I’m thrilled that the kids are here with me.
‘The relationships that you can have with children like that, it’s the joy of my life.
‘And those kids are amazing, and I’m glad that this is a movie they want to come to.’
As a devoted devotee, I too choose to steer clear of any speculations regarding my partnership with Lopez, for I wish to keep positivity as the cornerstone of my life.
He mentioned that he rarely reads content online, and occasionally gets a feeling that some people have a tendency to focus on finding something negative to discuss.
In simpler terms, ‘The Accountant 2’ – a movie where Christian Wolff, a forensic accountant, partners with his formidable yet long-separated brother to pursue elusive killers – is something the lead actor feels ‘proud’ of. The event was even more memorable as his and Jennifer’s children were present, lending their support.
Ben stated in March 2025 to GQ magazine that there is no drama, no daytime TV plot, and no mystery regarding his split from J.Lo. However, he expressed: “It’s an amazing evening. The children are all present, Jen’s kids too. I’m extremely, extremely thrilled.
“I take great pride in this movie, and I can’t help but express my affection for it. Seeing all the children at the end just makes it even more enjoyable – it’s downright thrilling!
