Ben Affleck Volunteers at Homeless Site After Wildfires Force Him Back to Jennifer Garner’s Home
Ben Affleck is returning favor to the Los Angeles neighborhood, providing aid during the destructive wildfire incidents that hit certain areas of the city.
On Tuesday, the Academy Award winner, aged 52, who resides in an expensive mansion worth around $20 million in Los Angeles’ Brentwood area, paid a visit to a homeless shelter along with a few of his associates.
A small gathering of helpers stood close by a man with three children, listening intently to him, not far from what seemed like a temporary shelter.
Later on, Affleck could be spotted having a cigarette break while strolling about the area, accompanied by a woman who held a folder next to him.
On his volunteering day, Affleck chose a fashionable neutral outfit consisting of a collar sweater layered over a blue and white striped button-down shirt.
He completed his outfit with gray slacks, white Nike sneakers and a beige jacket.
Approximately 75,000 individuals who don’t have a permanent home reside on the city streets of Los Angeles County, as reported by AP.
When Mayor Karen Bass assumed office in 2022, the pressing issue of homelessness in Los Angeles led her to officially announce a state of emergency.
Last year, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority conducted a census that showed a decrease in homelessness. In Los Angeles County, the homeless population decreased by 0.27%, totaling 75,312 individuals. Within the city limits of Los Angeles, the homeless population decreased by 2.2%, amounting to 45,252 people.
However, advancements previously achieved might be affected since the wildfires that erupted earlier this month have displaced thousands of Los Angeles residents from their homes.
1. Fiery blasts devastated Pacific Palisades and Altadena, leading nearby residents to flee due to evacuation orders.

2. The fires ravaged Pacific Palisades and Altadena, causing residents in neighboring areas to evacuate as a precautionary measure.
Both options maintain the original meaning while using simpler language that’s easier for the average reader to understand.
Affleck was one of the people who were forced to leave due to the Palisades Fire approaching perilously near his residence in Brentwood. This fire had consumed a total of 23,448 acres of land.
It is said that he apparently sought refuge in his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s $7.8 million, four-bedroom house located in Brentwood Park, miraculously avoiding the fire that razed over 6,800 structures.
Notable personalities who have unfortunately lost their homes in the fire are: Mel Gibson, Paris Hilton, Jeff Bridges, Anna Faris, Cary Elwes, Diane Warren, Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, Eugene Levy, Steve Guttenberg, Jennifer Grey, Ricki Lake, Matt Damon, Miles Teller, Billy Crystal, Adam Brody, and Heidi Montag.

Ever since the fire occurred on January 7th, Garner, Affleck’s ex, aged 52, has been vigorously volunteering for World Central Kitchen, a non-profit organization that offers food aid to people in distress, to support the community she used to reside in.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share this heart-wrenching news: The very church where Garner often found solace has been tragically engulfed in flames. In an emotional interview with MSNBC, she disclosed a devastating detail – one of the 29 lives claimed by that fire was a cherished friend of mine.
After parting ways in 2018 following a ten-year marriage, Affleck and Garner have maintained a friendly relationship. They are the proud parents of three children – Violet (age 19), Fin (age 16), and Samuel (age 12).
On Saturday night, Affleck and Garner reunited to attend a school play in Santa Monica with Fin.
Garner and the teenager she was with showed up, while Affleck attended the event alone. Later, he reunited with his former wife and child within the venue.
Violet, their oldest child, is attending Yale University right now, while Samuel, who turns 13 on February 27, is part of their family as well.
Affleck has been finding solace in Garner’s companionship, as his former spouse, Jennifer Lopez, initiated a divorce proceeding in August following their two-year marriage.
Earlier this month, they resolved their divorce, and it’s set to be officially over on February 20th.
Nevertheless, it appears that the former spouses are yet to finalize the sale of their shared property, a Beverly Hills mansion worth approximately $68 million, which they bought together as their matrimonial residence in 2023 for $60.85 million.
Since June 2024, they’ve been trying to sell their expansive 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom house, but so far, no buyer has come forward.

Affleck moved out of the house and purchased a $20.5 million Brentwood bachelor pad in July.
Just last week, TMZ announced that Lopez has been checking out an expensive 20-million-dollar property located close to Affleck’s Brentwood community.
It’s reported that the artist who made “On The Floor” seems very interested in the property, but she has expressed significant worries regarding the air quality in the vicinity, particularly following the tragic Los Angeles fires.
The aftermath has left the air quality in the region still quite poor.
According to reports, Lopez plans to hire an expert on air quality to assess the environment prior to making the purchase, ensuring it meets his standards.
