Ben Affleck meets his Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives ‘cousin’ Jen Affleck for the first time in new Dunkin’ ad

There’s been a lot of talk about whether Jen Affleck and Ben Affleck are related, ever since it came up on the reality show *The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives*. Now, the two have finally had a chance to meet.

A 26-year-old social media personality and her famous 53-year-old cousin are featured in a new Dunkin’ commercial that came out on Monday.

The funny 60-second commercial showed Jen – who is different from Ben Affleck’s ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez (they were married from 2022 to 2025) – jokingly calling the Oscar-winning actor her ‘cousin’ and teasing him about getting older.

The scene starts with a cashier giving a knowing smile and announcing an order for ‘Affleck,’ leading everyone to anticipate Ben Affleck will appear. Instead, Jennifer Lopez confidently walks in.

She jokingly responds, ‘People are surprised I’m here? Not because I’m waiting for my cousin Ben, but because Dunkin’ always calls me when they have a great deal! I’m Jen Affleck – the Value Affleck!’

I’m a great deal – twice the fun for half the cost, just like Dunkin’s $6 Meal Deal! You get a coffee, a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, and hash browns all for six bucks – that’s a real bargain. And speaking of things that aren’t a good deal… let’s just say Ben isn’t one.

Jen, who will be appearing on the next season of Dancing With The Stars, playfully makes fun of Ben’s looks.

She said: ‘Why overpay for something that nobody wants?

I feel great and look good! It’s hard to believe Ben is 53 – and he doesn’t look young for his age, more like he’s really showing his years.

The surprise happens when a loud throat-clearing is heard, and the camera reveals it’s actually Ben at the drive-thru window.

Ben then retorts: ‘Rude. [I’m a] totally average 53. Right down the 53 fairway.’ 

Last year, on the first season of *The Secret Lives of Mormon Lives*, viewers were surprised to learn that Jen claimed her husband, Zac, is cousins with Ben, meaning they’re related through marriage.

That rumor was quickly proven false. A source close to the Affleck family told People magazine in September 2024 that any connection between the Utah and Boston Affleck families is untrue.

The source said there’s no connection between the two, and they didn’t think it was right to suggest one. They also pointed out that genealogy is highly important within the Mormon faith.

The report also revealed that researching both families showed Zac’s ancestry goes back to England, and Ben’s to Scotland.

According to a source who spoke to People magazine, Jennifer Lopez’s husband is named Zac Affleck. His father is David Affleck, and his grandfather is Gordon Affleck. Zac’s great-grandfather, Alan Burt Affleck, would make them second cousins.

So, Ben’s father is Tim Affleck. That makes Myron Junior his grandfather, and Myron Senior his great-grandfather. Just to clarify, Alan Burt and Myron Senior aren’t related as brothers.

This was Jen’s first experience with Dunkin’, the popular breakfast and coffee chain. Ben, however, is a veteran – he’s worked with the Massachusetts-based company for years and has even appeared in several memorable Super Bowl commercials for them.

Meanwhile, Ben was seen looking not too happy while out in Hollywood on Sunday.

He appeared somewhat messy, wearing a loose-fitting, long-sleeved white shirt that wasn’t fully tucked into his light brown pants.

Jen gave birth to her third child with husband Zac Affleck back in July.

Jen and Zac, 28, introduced their newborn daughter Penelope – via Instagram on Wednesday, July 2.

The couple share kids Nora, three, and Luca, two.

Jennifer shared that she had her baby without any pain medication, describing it as incredibly painful but also a powerfully positive experience. She emphasized that she couldn’t have gone through it without the support of her partner, Zac, and her doula.

‘I’m so grateful and so happy that Penny is earth side now,’ Jennifer wrote in the post.

Jen, known from the show The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives, will be competing on the new season of Dancing With The Stars alongside her co-star Whitney Leavitt. The show premieres on Tuesday.
