Ben Affleck emerges after ex Jennifer Lopez released her heartbreak song Wreckage of You about their divorce

After just a handful of days since Jennifer Lopez released a new track about their stormy past, Ben Affleck made his initial public appearance.

Last week, Lopez premiered a fresh tune titled “Wreckage of You” at an exclusive event in Los Angeles, where 30 fortunate fans were given the opportunity to listen to it.

The 55-year-old artist performed six fresh songs, including five energetic tracks titled Up All Night, Regular, Free, Save Me Tonight, and Birthday, along with a ballad called Wreckage of You, which recent reports suggest is inspired by the fallout from her second marriage to Affleck.

Although Affleck hasn’t made any public comments about the new song as of yet, he was recently seen dining out with a companion at the popular West Hollywood restaurant, Steak 48, on a Monday evening.

The actor was spotted with a friend at the establishment, where they dined for over two hours.

He donned a crisp white button-down shirt, paired with dark blue denim jeans and earthy brown boots, during his evening excursion. He also had a coat in hand.

Last week’s private fan gathering saw Lopez disclose that she had penned and recorded the song just two weeks prior, as reported by US Weekly.

A single spectator, Edgardo Luis Rivera, disclosed that she shared, ‘The concept for the song emerged while she was resting in bed following an exhausting day of concert preparations.’

The fan noted that she shared that the previous year was extremely challenging for her, as it impacted her personally and professionally. Consequently, she had to postpone her tour and dedicate more time to taking care of herself.

A year down the line, she’s feeling healthier and more robust than before, which inspired her to compose a song expressing her emergence from a difficult period even stronger, he explained.

She mentioned that the word “wreck,” which symbolizes destruction, was constantly on her mind, yet she herself wasn’t ruined. She further noted that a song’s lyric goes, “I am stronger after the wreckage of you.

An anonymous spectator commented that the song ‘Wreckage of You’ was deeply moving and inspiring, as it chronicles leaving a relationship and emerging stronger.

In May 2023, about a year after remarrying for the second time, the former spouses are persistently attempting to sell their $60 million matrimonial residence, which they purchased together.

They separated for a second time in April 2024, with Lopez filing for divorce in August 2024.

Despite their divorce being made official in February, they haven’t managed to sell their house yet, a property that they first put up for sale at $68 million in July 2024.

After not finding a buyer, they reduced the price to exactly the break-even point of $60 million, but now the house has been completely removed from the market.
