Ben Affleck surprised and delighted fans at the premiere of Jennifer Lopez’s new movie, Kiss of the Spider Woman, by suddenly speaking in Spanish and enthusiastically praising her.
The 53-year-old Academy Award winner, who also helped make the movie, continued speaking in the language to enthusiastically compliment Jennifer Lopez on her acting in the musical.
During the red carpet interview, Affleck shared that Lopez had always wanted to play a character like Ingrid Luna, ever since she watched classic Hollywood movies with her mother as a child.
Ben shared how excited Jennifer was to play this role, saying it really suited her personality. He raved about her performance in the movie, calling it spectacular and urging everyone to go see it.
The actor’s unexpected bilingual moment left fans swooning online.

Following a viral moment at a movie premiere on Monday – where he was left standing alone onstage – Ben Affleck is now doing an interview in Spanish.
Affleck was ushered onstage mid-speech as director Bill Condon addressed the crowd, per People.
Affleck unfortunately chose a very awkward moment to approach Condon, standing quietly behind him with his hands clasped for over seven minutes while the director spoke, completely unnoticed.
Affleck reportedly paused during the speech, even putting down his soda, as Condon finished thanking everyone involved in the film.
When Condon finally turned around, he jumped at the sight of Affleck.
‘I didn’t know you were there!’ the director laughed before walking over to hug the actor.
After wrapping his speech, Condon introduced Lopez and her co-star Tonatiuh to join them onstage.
Affleck later took the mic to share a few kind words, per the outlet.
Ben Affleck expressed his gratitude and excitement while addressing the audience. He said he was deeply honored to be there and praised the film as truly exceptional.
