Beloved Yorkshire-set period drama that ‘delights viewers’ confirms more seasons in huge update

Great news for fans of All Creatures Great and Small! The show has been renewed for two more seasons – seasons 7 and 8 – following the success of its recent sixth season and before the upcoming Christmas special.

I’m so excited to hear that the show is coming back! Just like we’ve loved before, each season will have six episodes, and even better, they’re planning new Christmas specials too! It’s fantastic news for all of us fans.

Greg Barnett, commissioning editor at Channel 5, described the series – set in the Yorkshire Dales and following the lives of veterinarians in the early to mid-1900s – as a standout drama for the channel, consistently pleasing audiences year after year.

The latest season took place after World War Two ended, and featured new cast members including Lucy-Jo Hudson (known from Hollyoaks), Gaia Wise (The Dead of Winter), and Jonathan Hyde (The Brutalist).
