Beloved spy thriller Slow Horses’ fan-favourite character will get interesting change for season 6

Christopher Chung, who plays Roddy Ho on the popular show Slow Horses, hints that his character is in for some big changes in the upcoming season. Roddy Ho has been a key part of the Apple TV series since the beginning and has faced plenty of challenges along the way.

In the fifth season, Roddy was the victim of a honey trap. It seems he’s hoping for a more peaceful experience in season six.

Roddy has become more introspective,” Chung explained to RadioTimes.com. “He’s likely grown from the unrequited love he experienced in season 5, and we might see him taking a more well-rounded approach to life in season 6.

So, I’ve been thinking about Roddy, and the actor hinted he might be changing after everything that’s happened. Apparently, he might be developing some more human feelings, but honestly, the actor wasn’t sure if Roddy would ever let anyone else see that side of him.

He keeps people at a distance, maintaining a tough exterior, but underneath that facade, he’s actually quite sensitive and eager to please.

Chung enjoys playing the character because it lets him express thoughts and opinions people usually keep to themselves. He appreciates being able to be completely honest, even if it means being a bit rude, while still making the character relatable and human.

“It’s always really fun,” he added.

The actor talked about continuing his role on Slow Horses, saying he’d happily play Roddy for a long time – though not literally until he dies! He joked that the day he has to stop playing the character and take off Roddy’s hat would be a very sad one, and he hopes that day is far off.

The popular spy show has been picked up for a sixth season. This time, the team of ‘Slow Horses’ will be forced to go on the run when Diana Taverner gets them caught up in a dangerous and vengeful plot.

Slow Horses seasons 1-5 are streaming on Apple TV.
