Several guest stars have been confirmed, including Jim Gaffigan (known for his role in Chappaquiddick) as President Grover Cleveland. He’ll be attempting to gain acceptance among New York’s high society. Dallas Roberts, from The Good Wife, will play Daniel Manning, Cleveland’s Secretary of the Treasury.

Elizabeth Marvel, known for her role in Homeland, will play Nurse Virginia Saville, a dedicated worker at the Neighborhood Settlement House in the Lower East Side. Andrew Burnap, who appeared in Snow White, will star as Porter, a wealthy young man looking for promising investment opportunities.

Carrie Coon and Morgan Spector will reprise their roles as Bertha and George Russell in season four. The returning cast also includes Christine Baranski, Louisa Jacobson, Cynthia Nixon, Harry Richardson, Denee Benton, Blake Ritson, Taissa Farmiga, and Audra McDonald.

In season four, Bertha Russell’s efforts to reshape New York society have had repercussions for her family. Meanwhile, Agnes van Rhijn sees a chance to reclaim her own standing.

Marian Jacobson starts a new chapter in her life, while Peggy Benton tries to win over her future family. As times change, it’s important to think carefully about what you desire.

Julian Fellowes, the creator of both Downton Abbey and The Gilded Age, hinted that the two shows might eventually connect. This possibility arose after a wedding in season three of The Gilded Age – Bertha and George’s daughter, Gladys, married Hector, the Duke of Buckingham.

He pointed out that a crossover is definitely possible, since both shows are filmed in England, as he told TVLine.

Traditionally, events like hunting season brought together many wealthy families, who would travel across England from one large estate to another.

We have the ability to combine things whenever we want, but we don’t have anything scheduled right now, so we’ll need to wait and see what happens.

The Gilded Age is available via Sky/NOW in the UK.
