Beloved ITV British detective drama gets update on “top secret” returning season
Actress Zoë Tapper, famed for her role in the cherished British detective series ‘Grace’ on ITV, has shared an exclusive sneak peek about season six with eager viewers.
In the television show, which is modeled after Peter James’s “Roy Grace” books, John Simm portrays the lead character Detective Sergeant (DS) Roy Grace, while Cleo Morey is played by Tapper as his latest partner.
In previous installments of the series set in Brighton, I’ve been on an agonizing quest to find my lost wife, Sandy. Miraculously, I discovered her at the close of season four, but tragically, she took her own life shortly after.

In an interview with RadioTimes regarding season six, Tapper mentioned that the cast has not had a chance to read through their scripts as of yet, since ITV approved season six even before season five started being broadcasted.
She mentioned, “We haven’t had a chance to review all the scripts completely, as it’s all highly confidential.” It seems they might not be confident in our ability to keep spoilers from the media, which is why we aren’t provided with advance details about the series plot.
However, things are slowly gaining momentum. We’re currently in the planning phase, which means we’ve started fitting costumes, and various suggestions are being discussed. In about a week, we’ll head to Brighton for our initial reading session.
As a die-hard enthusiast, I can’t wait to lay my hands on those scripts soon! The current scenario is wide open; the direction we’re heading isn’t entirely clear yet. It’s anybody’s game!
In the ongoing fifth season, set to release its third episode this coming Sunday on ITV, began with a solemn tone as characters Roy and Cleo experienced the loss of their child.
The ongoing season comprises four full-length stories, inspired by James’ 14th novel from the Roy Grace series titled “Dead If You Don’t”.
Earlier discussing season five, Tapper explained: “Right from the start, it becomes clear that she has miscarried, which sets the tone for the sadness and struggle they face as a result of this heartbreaking loss.
All episodes of Grace are available to stream now on ITVX.
