The heartwarming television series “All Creatures Great and Small” is preparing for another run, featuring fresh characters along with its well-known leads on the small screen again.
The five-part historical series will premiere its sixth season in the fall, featuring recurring actors Nicholas Ralph and Rachel Shenton portraying James Herriot, a real veterinarian, and his wife Helen. Five newcomers will also be joining them as the storyline advances to 1945.
Rounding out the cast for season 6 includes Lucy-Jo Hudson from ‘Hollyoaks’, Gaia Wise known for ‘The Dead of Winter’, Jonathan Hyde who starred in ‘The Brutalist’, Philip Martin Brown, a familiar face from ‘Waterloo Road’, and Chris Gascoyne, an actor previously seen in ‘The Feud’.

The five-member ensemble will perform alongside Ralph, Shenton, Samuel West portraying Siegfried Farnon, Anna Madeley as Mrs. Hall, Callum Woodhouse as Tristan Farnon, and Patricia Hodge as Mrs. Pumphrey, with her beloved Pekingese dog, Tricki, accompanying them.
Additionally, Tony Pitts portrays the character of Helen’s father, Richard Alderson, while Imogen Clawson takes on the role of Helen’s younger sibling, Jenny.

The same actors who were previously here as guests are back again, with Mollie Winnard, Conor Deane, Cat Simmons, and Lamin Touray reprising their roles.
The upcoming sixth series will feature six full-length episodes and a special Christmas episode. As of now, there’s no confirmed premiere date for these new installments, but British viewers should anticipate seeing the show on Channel 5 during the fall season.
