The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey has revealed the one question they’re “sick of” being asked.
The actor has reappeared on our screens, playing Ellie, in the much-awaited second season of the popular series. This season kicked off with its first episode just a few days ago.
In the second season, Ellie’s age progresses from 14 to 19 years old. This change in her character age has been a common topic during interviews for Ramsey, as he discusses how he prepared to portray an older version of the character.
During a recent interview on Heart Radio, they mentioned that after spending three weeks on a press tour, the question they’re asked most frequently is: “Bella, since Ellie was 14 in the first season and now she’s 19 in the second, there’s a five-year age gap – how did you get ready to portray an older Ellie in season two?
Ellie and I have both reached adulthood. There’s not much new to share. I don’t have anything particularly interesting to discuss right now. I can imagine that I will be asked about this topic frequently for the next few weeks, so please understand if I seem a bit tired of addressing it.

In the second season of the series, Ramsey and Pedro Pascal will adopt a fresh strategy towards Ellie and Joel’s bond due to fresh discoveries causing tension between them.
In a conversation with Digital Spy, Ramsey opened up about delving into their complex relationship dynamic on the show, considering their strong bond off-screen.
They mentioned that it was unfortunate to engage in that level of tension with him because they genuinely enjoy each other’s company off-screen, but it was also entertaining to experiment and explore new ideas together. However, they found it disheartening. It’s not pleasant to maintain distance with someone.

The new season also features the anticipated romance between Ellie and Dina (Isabela Merced).
As a gamer, I’m kind of feeling that Ellie might have feelings for Dina, you know, like dipping toes to see how deep it goes without getting burnt.
It seems somewhat intimidating for her, yet I believe this relationship has tremendous potential to flourish beautifully. Dina manages to rekindle some spark in Ellie, and it’s truly fascinating.
As a die-hard fan, I eagerly await the arrival of The Last of Us season 2 each Monday, catching it twice – at 2am and again at 9pm – exclusively on Sky Atlantic here in the UK. For those who can’t make those times, it’s also available for streaming on NOW. In the US, the show graces our screens on HBO.
