Yolanda Hadid posted a touching message on Thursday expressing her support for her daughter, supermodel Bella Hadid.
The Beverly Hills Housewife also posted pictures of Bella receiving medical care in the hospital.
Watching my daughter, Bella, suffer in silence has been incredibly heartbreaking for me,” the mother explained to Bella and Gigi Hadid.
Chronic neurological Lyme disease is a hidden disability, making it difficult for others to grasp what it’s like to live with.
I always try to set a good example as we navigate Lyme disease, but seeing my child in pain is far more difficult than dealing with my own.
I stopped talking about my personal experiences after a long time because I needed to prioritize my own well-being and healing. I needed space to focus on myself, instead of getting caught up in what others thought about what I’d been through.

She explained that as CEO of her health organization, she remains committed to finding a low-cost cure, a goal she’s pursued for fifteen years through worldwide research.
I’m so excited to finally share everything we’ve discovered – all the insights and places we’ve explored – with you and the Lyme community. I’m waiting for final lab results to confirm our progress, and as soon as they do, I’ll be sharing it all!
Then she had a separate note for her ‘beautiful Bellita.’
You’re incredibly strong and brave. It’s heartbreaking that any child should experience ongoing illness without a cure. I deeply admire your courage and determination to keep seeking health, even when treatments haven’t worked and you’ve faced so many challenges.
It’s impossible to fully express how incredibly difficult things have been for you since your diagnosis in 2013. You weren’t truly living, but rather learning to cope with the immense pain and uncertainty caused by your condition, feeling trapped within your own mind.
I’m incredibly proud of how strong you are. Remember, you’re not on your own – I’ll be here to support you through everything, for as long as it takes.
You’ve gotten through another tough month of treatment, and I truly believe in miracles and God’s goodness. I’m praying for you to get better quickly, my love.
This illness has been incredibly difficult, but we’ve always shown resilience. We’ll keep working towards a brighter future, and we’ll do it as a team.
Yolanda lovingly called Bella a ‘survivor’ and finished by telling her, ‘I love you so much, my strong warrior.’

Bella shared an update with her Instagram followers on Tuesday regarding her continued struggle with Lyme disease.
Fans grew worried after photos surfaced showing the model receiving an IV and using an oxygen tube while hospitalized abroad. The images were concerning.
Another picture showed her in tears, and shortly after, she was photographed with an ice pack on her forehead. The 28-year-old has been dealing with a long-term illness for years.
The Vogue cover model apologized for being unreachable in an Instagram post, sharing photos of herself receiving treatment and expressing her love for her followers.

Gigi Hadid, her sister, quickly commented with a message of support, writing, ‘I love you! Hoping you feel strong and well soon!!!!!!’
Fans shared heartfelt messages of support for Bella Hadid, including notes like ‘Get well soon, the world misses you!’ and ‘Sending you lots of love and positive vibes for a speedy recovery!’
Someone else with Lyme disease reached out, asking what I was doing to manage it. They wanted to share information and support each other. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Kourtney Kardashian, Candice Swanepoel, Helena Christensen and Elle Macpherson hit the like button.

Many of her photos depicted IVs in her arm, and devices that looked like they were used for easier blood transfusions or draws.
One photo showed her with an intravenous line connected to her neck, and the tubing was secured to her hair above her head.
A different picture revealed the model giving a peace sign while resting in a hospital bed, cuddling a stuffed animal.
Bella seemed to be getting a blood transfusion, with clear fluids flowing through tubes connected to her arm.
In one sad snapshot she appeared to be crying while she had an off-white cloth on her head.
The woman with brown hair openly shared the realities of her medical treatments with her followers, including a photo taken in a doctor’s office where most of her arm was covered or bandaged.
There were bouquets of flowers and cards in her room as she passed the time by playing cards.

In 2023 she gave fans a bigger look at her ordeal.
Among Bella’s photos were pictures of her medical records that her mother had kept over the years.
Records from early 2014 show she was experiencing symptoms likely caused by Lyme disease, which she’d been dealing with for about a year and a half at that time.
As a lifestyle expert, I often hear from people dealing with a really tough set of symptoms. Lately, I’ve been noticing a pattern – a lot of my clients are coming to me feeling utterly exhausted, struggling to focus, and having trouble remembering things. They’re also battling sleep problems, feeling down, and experiencing various physical aches and pains. It’s a cluster of issues I frequently see in people dealing with Lyme disease.
A document from later in 2014 suggested a colon infection, and also showed evidence of bacteria often spread by ticks or parasites, potentially including the one that causes Lyme disease.

She also appeared to be suffering from a fungal infection and parasites.
A record from 2016 showed additional test results suggesting Bella had a Lyme disease infection.
She started a long post by saying she imagined her younger, struggling self would be proud of how far she’s come and that she didn’t give up on her dreams.
The fashion model included some sweet praise for her mother Yolanda as well.
She expressed gratitude to her mother for maintaining her medical records and for being a constant, unwavering presence throughout everything, offering protection, support, and, most importantly, believing in her.
She explained that her health kept getting worse, even though she was determined to make her family proud. It wasn’t clear whether she meant this had been happening for years, or just before she recently had to stop working for medical reasons.
She reassured me that she was doing well and didn’t want me to worry, and that she wouldn’t trade her experiences for anything.
She shared a hopeful message, saying that even if she had to relive all the challenges she faced to reach this moment – being healthy and with everyone she cares about – she wouldn’t hesitate to do so. She explained that those experiences shaped her into the person she is today.
Bella also tried to remind her followers who are struggling that it ‘will get better.’
She expressed deep gratitude for the lessons life has taught her. After over 100 days of treatment for Lyme disease and related chronic illnesses – and after nearly 15 years of silently struggling – she feels it was all worthwhile if she can now live a life filled with love and authenticity. She said, for the first time, she feels truly herself.
Bella explained that she carefully chose uplifting photos, because despite how difficult her experience was, it ultimately proved to be the most valuable learning experience of her life, bringing her new friendships, fresh perspectives, and personal growth.
She expressed gratitude for the patience of her company, her supporters, and those who checked in on her. She also specifically thanked her agents for their help.
She also enthusiastically thanked her wonderful doctor and the amazing nurses who work with her, expressing her deep affection for them all.
She finished with a hopeful tone, saying she’d return when she felt prepared. ‘I miss and love you all very much,’ she added.
