As the Doctor listened to the physician’s words regarding following Belinda, it struck me that a certain individual was the one who tipped me off about Belinda. Clearly, something far greater is at play here, and it seems connected to why Belinda can’t go back home just yet. In an attempt to unravel this enigma, I establish a network of Vindicators strategically placed across different eras and dimensions. However, the identity of the person who informed me about Belinda, the details of their message, and the reason behind her inability to revert to her own time continue to be shrouded in mystery, waiting to be unveiled in the series.

Belinda Chandra’s Father Could Have A Connection To The Fifteenth Doctor

In the premiere of season 15, there’s a scene that seems to confuse the sequence of events and hints that the Doctor might have a prior link with Belinda’s family. When Belinda communicates with her former partner Alan, they both possess documents claiming ownership over the star touch. This predicament leads to a paradox, causing Alan to revert into a sperm, while the Doctor steps in to absorb the residual effects that might have altered Belinda. In this instant, he finds himself holding a baby Belinda in his arms.

This implies that the Doctor might have encountered Belinda when she was an infant, leading to a probable positive bond with her parents. If this is true, it’s plausible that Belinda’s father could have been the one alerting the Doctor about his daughter being in danger. However, it’s challenging to conceive that he would have any inkling that a band of extraterrestrial robots hailing from Miss Belinda Chandra would be coming to kidnap his daughter. In the captivating world of Doctor Who, very little unfolds without some deeper significance or purpose. It’s quite routine for the series to incorporate a larger, enigmatic mystery that gradually unfurls throughout a season or even beyond. This is a practice that Doctor Who often employs, particularly under Russell T Davies’ leadership. After his introduction in 2005, the recurring mention of Bad Wolf felt more than coincidental. Similarly, the frequent references to Belinda’s parents in the series seem less like random occurrences and more like hints pointing towards a potential revelation. This is notably emphasized in episode 3, which focuses specifically on Belinda’s father.

In the initial scenes without much backstory, the Doctor and his companion are usually shown together inside the TARDIS. These instances help develop their relationship and establish foundational elements for upcoming storylines that guide the series.
