Believe it: ‘Ted Lasso’ is officially returning for Season 4
If you’ve persistently clicked on your “Believe” symbol, great news! The wait is over as Apple TV+ has confirmed that “Ted Lasso,” the popular comedy series led by Jason Sudeikis, will indeed come back for a fourth season.
Following the end of the third season in 2023, viewers were left questioning if the show set in the U.K. had come to an end. The character portrayed by Sudeikis returned to America to be near his son at the end of the final episode, and there was no initial confirmation of a new season, although the two Hollywood strikes in 2023 might have contributed. However, over the past few months, it seems that “Ted Lasso” may come back, as Warner Bros. Television, the production company for the series, acquired options for some of the British actors who star on the show, including Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift.

In a conversation, the actor portraying Rebecca Welton from Apple TV+’s popular series shares thoughts on the Season 3 finale and if it truly marks the conclusion of the show’s run.
Information about when the next season of the award-winning show produced by Matt Cherniss for Apple TV+ will be available isn’t known yet. However, Cherniss expressed excitement about their ongoing partnership with Jason and the talented team behind the series. The cast includes Jason Sudeikis, who serves as an executive producer, alongside Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel. Goldstein plays a dual role as writer and executive producer, working alongside Leanne Bowen.
In a hint for Season 4, Sudeikis suggested that AFC Richmond will take a bold step and act first, then figure out the consequences (“AFC Richmond leap before they look”). On the contrary, he also mentioned that wherever they end up in this journey, it’s their destined place (“it turns out that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they were meant to be”).

Television
For three consecutive seasons, ‘Ted Lasso’ provided us with heartfelt emotions as a primary focus, and the soccer served merely as an added bonus. In terms of emotional payoff, the potential series finale truly hit the mark.
There’s a chance that reference might be related to Lasso’s coming back to America, and there are several unresolved storylines for viewers to explore. Will Rebecca (Waddingham) end up with the man she met at the end of Season 3 finale, or…? What about Nate (Goldstein), who took a sinister turn as coach of West Ham United F.C.? And what becomes of Roy (Goldstein), Keeley (Temple), and Jamie (Dunster) in the love triangle storyline?
For the Richmond Greyhounds, whatever follows, there’s a strong sense of excitement as people eagerly await the return of “Ted Lasso”.
