Charli XCX and George Daniel from The 1975 celebrated their marriage with a beautiful second wedding party in Sicily on Sunday, following a smaller, private ceremony in London back in July.
The wedding was a wild and lively party, true to Charli’s fun-loving personality – she even took over the DJ booth while wearing lingerie.
Charli D’Amelio was spotted having fun with friends on Thursday, performing on stage in lingerie and then continuing the party at a nightclub with drinks.
Matty Healy, from the band The 1975, surprised guests by crowdsurfing at the wedding reception.
The party kept going with an Italian band playing the song ‘Volare’ as people danced and enjoyed Aperol spritzes.
Charli wore a pink bikini with a white lace cover-up and snuggled up to her husband during a luxurious yacht trip.
Guests enjoyed a peaceful day on the yacht, complete with a beautiful sunset and a swim in the clear waters off Sicily.
Charli XCX and The 1975’s drummer exchanged vows, and Charli celebrated the occasion with a unique bridal outfit inspired by Grecian styles.
The couple teared up as they renewed their vows and exchanged rings with family and friends present, including George’s bandmate, Matty, and his mother, Denise Welch.
The bride wore a flowing white dress with a long, sheer train. Underneath, she had on a fitted corset that showed through the fabric.
Staying true to her style, singer Charli XCX – born Charlotte Emma Aitchison – intentionally showed off her white underwear.
George looked handsome and effortlessly stylish beside her, wearing a comfortable taupe suit with a loose, silk shirt that was partially unbuttoned, revealing his necklaces.
Throughout the heartfelt ceremony, the couple shared a range of emotions – they laughed, cried, and held each other close as they read their personal vows.
George appeared visibly emotional throughout the event, dabbing away tears as close friends and family shared heartfelt speeches, and one even played a song for them on the guitar.
The couple stayed cool with custom folding fans that had ‘George and Charli’ printed on them.
The wedding ceremony was held on a beautiful rocky point overlooking the ocean. Chairs were set up facing a simple altar decorated with eucalyptus and baby’s breath.
Charli and George sealed their renewed commitment with a loving kiss at the altar, celebrating their second marriage.
As the couple walked back down the aisle, greeted by applause and confetti, Matty stood up and cheered for them.
Just like true musicians, Charli and George immediately joined their guests in celebrating after the meaningful ceremony.
People were enjoying themselves, dancing and laughing to a live band while drinks were plentiful.
Instead of the atmospheric sound of The 1975 or the energetic dance music of Brat, Charli and George chose a more classic approach, forming a folk band with instruments like an accordion, tambourine, and harmonica.
Celebrating with champagne, the couple created a sparkling tower for their guests and shared another kiss.
Guests enjoyed Aperol Spritzes while laughing and dancing in the sunshine.
Denise, a star on the show Loose Women, looked stylish and summery in a short, brightly colored floral dress.
Charli and George seemed perfectly happy together, sharing a quiet moment before heading to their lively wedding reception.
The couple showed their passion for music by naming each wedding table after one of their favorite songs.
The playlist featured a diverse range of songs, including classics like The Velvet Underground’s “Sweet Jane” and Billy Ocean’s “Loverboy,” alongside tracks from Average White Band (“Cut the Cake”), The Japanese House (“Saw You in a Dream”), and the somewhat provocative song “Lemon Incest” by Serge and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
The joyful couple shared a meal with their families – Charli’s parents, Jon and Shameera, and George’s parents, Amanda and Chris – at a table with a Prince-themed name, referencing his song ‘Sticky Like Glue’.
George was joined at the main table by his bandmates – Matty, Adam Hann, and Ross MacDonald – and Matty’s fiancée, Gabbriette (whose full name is Gabriella Leigh Bechtel).
Charli’s friend and fellow singer Addison Rae also attended the wedding, and she was seated at a table named after her song, “Aquamarine.”
