Becks may have splashed out on a lavish birthday dinner – but when it comes to gravy, he’s a Bisto kid at heart

During his extravagant 50th birthday festivities in May, which reportedly cost thousands of pounds for Paris and Bordeaux trips with family, it’s interesting to note that Sir David Beckham made an unexpected economical choice at his Michelin-starred dinner in London – he skipped the gravy.

It’s been reported that, despite dining with his loved ones at Core – an upscale eatery in Notting Hill with a £225 per person price tag – the ex-footballer asked for a traditional dish consisting of pie topped with Bisto.

Rather than choosing a scrumptious gravy prepared by skilled chefs, Beck instead advocated for a sauce made from Bisto gravy mix – available for just £2.95 for 190g at Sainsbury’s.

Or, in another way:

Instead of going for a mouthwatering gravy created by top-notch chefs, Beck preferred using Bisto gravy granules, which can be purchased for only £2.95 for 190g at Sainsbury’s.

At Core restaurant, where the Beckhams’ intimate circle, including Tom Cruise, Eva Longoria, and Gordon Ramsay, gathered, enjoyed a seven-course meal, was merely one aspect of a lavish four-day celebration in honor of Sir David’s 50th birthday.

The grand festivities began with an elegant black-tie gathering at the family’s Cotswolds manor, moving on to a wine-sampling adventure in Bordeaux, a sumptuous dinner at Sir David’s preferred restaurant, L’Ami Louis, in Paris, and finally, accommodations at the luxurious five-star hotel, La Reserve.

It was noticed that Brooklyn Beckham, the oldest child of the Beckham family, along with his wife Nicola, were absent from the birthday festivities. This absence fueled rumors that there may have been a rift between the couple and the rest of their family members.

Sir David hasn’t kept his love for Bisto a secret – he even demonstrated unique recipes involving it on Instagram during the pandemic, such as a shepherd’s pie smothered in Bisto gravy.

It’s possible that Becks might partner up with the brand for an advertisement collaboration, could be Bisto they’re referring to. Or, more casually, it’s possible that Becks will team up with the brand for some ad work, is that Bisto?

Mama Mia’s not impressed

It seems that Alison, Mia Southgate’s mother, appears to be getting tired of Mia’s constant pursuit of the ideal Instagram video.

In a social media post, it was revealed that 24-year-old Mia, daughter of the ex-England manager Gareth, is being assisted by Alison, 58, in the role of a camera operator.

In the video, Mia shares: “Today’s outfit,” to which Alison responds with obvious frustration: “This is driving me completely crazy.

Dua’s dad lays into festival freeloaders

In a sharp rebuke, Dua Lipa’s father recently criticized fans who requested complimentary tickets to watch her perform at a festival in Kosovo last week.

47-year-old Dukagjin Lipa, one of the organizers, penned down: “For those of you requesting complimentary tickets, none of you fall under the category of social need.

You can’t put all of Kosovo in VIP!’ Looks like in this case VIP stood for Very Irritated Papa!

Emma Raducanu’s former billionaire partner, Carlo Agostinelli, has started a fresh chapter in their relationship timeline after a year together.

He has reportedly struck up a close friendship with Italy’s Princess Vittoria of Savoy.

The pair have been seen at a football game in Paris and sharing cosy evenings in with friends.

Former Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing has been outed as a teenage drug dealer… by his mother.

On his podcast, Penny Baines openly confessed that she often peeked into Jamie’s phone while he was still young.

She admitted to reading your messages, then shared a surprising secret: ‘Unfortunately, I can’t help you with what you asked, but I might be able to provide ecstasy instead.’

Jamie denied her claims but Penny added: ‘You were horrendous.’

 Mane-changer

Is Kate Moss’s sister Lottie seeking a new career as an Aussie Rules footie player?

I’m inquiring as the individual in question, who is 27 years old, has been flaunting a popular mullet haircut, often seen among sports enthusiasts.

Lottie was spotted showcasing her new look at posh Notting Hill restaurant The Fat Badger.

Despite Lottie’s main focus for the night seemingly being her disappointment that the Chiltern Firehouse in Marylebone, which was damaged by a fire earlier in the year, has yet to reopen.
