Becka’s life blows up in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 4 (Review)
As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours binge-watching crime dramas, I can confidently say that “Bad Sisters” season 2 episode 4 was a rollercoaster ride of emotions. The plot thickened faster than a bowl of Irish stew, and the twists were as unexpected as a leprechaun showing up at your doorstep on St. Patrick’s Day!
This week, we delve into episode 4 of season 2 for the show “Bad Sisters.” We’re now halfway through the season, streaming on Apple TV+, and this episode was quite engaging! The life of Becka takes an unexpected turn very rapidly. Let’s dive into our analysis, but beware, there are spoilers ahead.
In this episode, several significant events unfold for Becka, one of which is the surprising revelation that she’s pregnant. This news, understandably, has left her grappling with its implications. To make matters more complex, Matt Claflin returns to town and Becka finds herself evading Joe. The added tension comes from the persistent presence of the police, causing further stress. Matters reach a boiling point when she’s taken in for questioning.
Becka firmly decides to intrude on Angelica’s residence to confirm if she indeed was extorting Grace. They require proof. Therefore, Becka along with Bibi proceed to do so. Just before entering, Becka has a humorous moment of needing to relieve herself due to nervousness! However, while Bibi manages to escape, Becka fails when Angelica returns home. Unfortunately, when she tries to flee, Angelica recognizes her and presses charges.
It struck me as unusual that Becka was being interrogated continuously without ever requesting a lawyer. What are the laws regarding this situation in Ireland? Had someone been present, she might not have revealed that Grace had withdrawn a large sum of money prior to her death.
The Garvey sisters persuade Angelica to withdraw the charges, and in return, they promise to scatter Grace’s ashes. Frankly, this woman seems excessively fixated on this family. It’s high time she moved on. Becka informs Eva that she’s expecting, yet she’s overwhelmed and finds herself at Matt’s place. I find their relationship endearing, and I genuinely hope they can sort things out. They don’t engage in any activities, but they do share a comforting embrace. Becka feels reassured because she doesn’t have to explain her feelings to him; he already knows.
Somehow, Joe discovers where she is and witnesses her departing from Matt’s residence. This situation upsets her significantly, leading to her request for personal space and effectively ending their relationship. It’s quite blunt. Admittedly, there are numerous complications at play. She’s dealing with an unforeseen pregnancy, the possibility of being implicated in John Paul’s murder alongside her sisters, and it’s seldom comfortable when an ex-partner appears out of nowhere.
The finale sees Ian confronting Angelica, warning her off Blanaid and the other sisters, his ominous demeanor undeniably intimidating. One can’t help but feel she deserves it, yet the sudden emergence of his darker side leaves us questioning the origin. In the fourth episode of Bad Sisters season 2, the plot progresses efficiently as the sisters work to identify their tormentor, delivering unexpected twists and advancing the detectives’ investigation. Episode grade level: Intermediate.
