Bec Judd reveals the crippling phobia that has led to her smashing her phone ‘Should be a warning’

Bec Judd admitted that her intense phobia of spiders caused her to accidentally destroy her phone three times.

On Thursday, a 42-year-old individual shared a video on Instagram Stories where they confessed that they had accidentally damaged their phone once more.

The device was smashed when Bec scrolled past an image of a spider posted to Instagram.

Bec, feeling frustrated, wondered aloud why individuals would share photos of spiders without providing a heads-up for people like herself who have similar apprehensions.

Becky’s deep-rooted dread of spiders has been affecting her domestic situation for quite some time now, as she’s openly acknowledged in the past.

As a die-hard arachnid-aphobic, just the mere thought of being in the same space as those eight-legged monstrosities makes my skin crawl! If fate ever placed one in my beloved Brighton abode, I’d pack up and flee faster than you can say “creepy spider!

Sharing again a TikTok clip featuring Millie Ford’s dramatic response to a giant spider in her space, Bec detailed the extreme precautions she takes to keep spiders at bay.

(Millie) is essentially identical to me, but instead of returning home, I choose to check into a hotel or stay with relatives, waiting for pest control to handle the situation,” she mentioned along with the video.

In Millie’s video, the star excused her reaction due to ‘bad trauma’ from her childhood.

On The Amazing Race Australia, Bec experienced a highly emotional incident involving a deep-fried tarantula in Cambodia.

Rebecca exclaimed, ‘Oh dear, this feels like a dreadful nightmare for me!’ Her reaction was one of distress, with her covering her head.”

“‘This is horrific,’ Rebecca declared, rubbing her temples in dismay. It seemed as if she had been plunged into a terrible nightmare.

‘I think we take a time penalty. I can’t do it. I can’t even be in the vicinity [of the spiders].’

Bec is so deathly afraid of spiders that she’s seeking professional help.

In a heartfelt post on her Instagram Stories, the mother of four sought suggestions from her followers about potential solutions for overcoming her anxiety.

‘Random from me. Have you used a hypnotist for a phobia and did it work?’ Bec asked.

Previously, she openly admitted having a profound fear of spiders that causes her to avoid looking at their images and has even smashed her phones out of fright on previous occasions.

‘Keep ’em coming. Think I might need to book in,’ she wrote.

Bec explained that she has broken two iPhones by accidentally tossing them across the room, due to her frustration over random spider videos appearing on Instagram while she’s casually scrolling.

“It would be appropriate to add a content warning here. Reading this material is similar to having a huntsman spider in your hand, it’s incredibly disturbing.

‘So I think it’s time for some proper help’ she concluded.

As a lifestyle expert, let me share some insights about a rather widespread phobia that many people, including myself, may struggle with – the intense fear known as arachnophobia. This irrational dread is directed towards our eight-legged friends, spiders, and statistically affects approximately six percent of the global population.

In extreme cases arachnophobia suffers may experience panic attacks as a result of their fear.

It is one of the most common phobias in the world.

For individuals who have struggled with an intense, long-term fear of spiders (arachnophobia), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) may offer a path to alleviation.

An alternative method they might consider is graduated exposure therapy, a technique employed to help manage phobias by gradually introducing more encounters with the object or situation that causes fear.
