It was somewhat of a family reunion for Bec Judd while she visited Perth this week.
As a passionate supporter, I found myself in my beloved homeland on Tuesday, ready to moderate an engaging Q&A session at Crown Perth. Accompanied by the gracious Bec Marsh, partner of the esteemed former Test cricketer Shaun Marsh, we were prepared to delve into a stimulating dialogue together.
Bec took to Instagram to document the occasion with a carousel of photos showing her WA sojourn.
In one image, Bec was captured alongside her less frequently seen father, Hugh Twigley – a man who parted ways with Kerry Brown, Bec’s mother, when she was merely four years old.
Bec appeared delighted to be with her father, and they shared a warm embrace during the photo shoot, looking content together.
With a satisfied grin, Bec gleamed happily as Hugh affectionately put an arm around her daughter’s shoulder.

Bec wrote simply: ‘Dad’, adding a single love heart emoji.
Yesterday was an amazing day, filled with fantastic filming and hosting a wonderful event at Crystal Club. Later, I had a delightful dinner with family. As Bec put it in her post’s caption, “Life is good.
Enthusiasts swiftly expressed their admiration for Bec’s post, one of them commenting: “That looks like such a wonderful journey, and it seems even more special due to the time spent with dear ones.
Bec has previously opened up about the psychological scars she endured when her parents divorced.
Discussing The 3pm Pick-Up in 2020, she openly discussed her personal journey, revealing that her first vivid memory was when her mother ‘parted ways’ with her father at the age of four.
Her fellow host, Katie ‘Monty’ Dimond inquired, “Can you recall if your parents ever mentioned they were going to part ways?
Rebecca shared, “Yes, I recall clearly the day mom departed. I was with dad, who was shedding tears. That’s my first memory. Isn’t it amazing?
It was mentioned earlier that Bec had shared that her parents’ divorce left a significant mark on her personal journey.

In an interview with Sunday Life magazine back in May 2019, I shared that growing up, the lack of my parents being together was something I deeply lamented. As a lifestyle expert, I can relate to many who, like me, yearned for their parents to be united during formative years.
‘Everyone else seemed to have mum and dad living together… I would see dad at weekends.’
After the separation of her parents, Rebecca and her sister Kate Twigley moved in with their mother Kerry Brown and her latest companion.
She would visit her father and stepmother during the school holidays because they lived regionally.
As a child, I, too, craved to blend in rather than stand out. Yet, that very desire for sameness set me apart on my unique journey.
Becks happily wedded her AFL star spouse Chris Judd, with the pair exchanging vows in 2010.
They now share four children – Oscar, 13, Billie, 10, and twins Darcy and Tom, eight.
Bec recently admitted that her relationship with Chris very nearly took a tragic turn.

In a recent conversation with Bernie & Emma G on SAFM, Bec shared that she and her husband Chris, aged 41, had embarked on a daring date at the start of their relationship. Unfortunately, midway through, an unexpected incident occurred, leaving Bec falling from great heights.
While he was playing for West Coast in Perth, we clandestinely embarked on a skydiving adventure together. Unfortunately, my parachute failed to deploy,” she explained.
Judy exited, checked her parachute, and everything seemed fine. This means we are tethered to someone; when I leap, we’ll plummet through the air,” she explained, in simpler terms.
Initially, my partner deployed the parachute, but as it opened, it tore apart. The torn piece soared into the heavens, leaving us in freefall once more.
Fortunately, her life was saved when her skydive partner acted swiftly and effectively, averting the crisis.
