Beast Games Season 2 Episode 3 release date
The latest episode of Beast Games, titled “The Obstacle Course,” became available on Prime Video on January 7th. It’s the third episode of Season 2.
Beast Games Season 2 Episode 3 recap
The third episode of Beast Games Season 2 continued the competition right after the previous one. It was a tense episode, starting with the yellow team winning the block game, which narrowed the field to 50 contestants. These 50 were then divided into 10 teams of five, and they faced off in five rounds of challenges on a difficult obstacle course.
The competition began with a team race where each team sent one player at a time to complete the obstacle course. The first team to get all five of their players across moved on to the next round. This was followed by a series of one-on-one races. In each head-to-head race, the first person to finish earned a point for their team. The first team to reach three points advanced further in the competition.
In the third round, each team picked a captain to compete in a one-on-one challenge. The team whose captain lost was eliminated. MrBeast offered the players a chance to switch teams, but they all decided to stay put. The fourth round was a team race similar to the first, but this time, $300,000 was hidden on the obstacle course.
MrBeast explained, “You can get the money by coming over here, but it’ll cost you some time. Think carefully about whether it’s worth it. Just so you know, taking the money won’t remove anyone from your team—it’ll just make your team start a little later.”
In the fifth round, each team sent one player at a time to attempt the obstacle course. As soon as a player either reached the platform at the bottom or fell into the water, the next teammate immediately started their turn.
Beast Games Season 2 Episode 3 results
Next came a game called “Captain Bribe” with a surprising turn of events. After the five remaining teams chose their captains, MrBeast announced that each captain – Joseph Torres (JT), Hannah Riggs, Jeff Allen, Nicky Mariano (Nick), and Tyler Davis – could press a button to win a significant amount of money for themselves. If a captain accepted the money, only their team would be eliminated from the competition.
MrBeast explained that choosing a captain is a hugely important decision. These captains have the power to remove 20% of the players still in the game, and they’ll win a significant amount of money if they succeed.
Watching the captains this season was really inspiring. You could tell each one had a huge reason for wanting to win. JT and Nick were playing for their families’ futures, and Hannah wanted to give her dad the retirement he deserved. Tyler was determined to provide for his wife, and honestly, Jeff’s story just broke my heart – he was trying to raise money for a cure for his son’s incredibly rare condition. It made all the competition feel so much more meaningful.
MrBeast wanted to make sure everyone understood he wasn’t sharing this information to discourage them. He explained that he wanted people to remember the contestants are real individuals, not just participants in a game. He added that if they choose to take the money, they likely have valid reasons, and it’s probably not about trying to take advantage of anyone.
Beast Games Season 2 Episode 3 then ended on a cliffhanger when someone pressed the button.
