Beast Games Season 2: Strong vs. Smart is now underway! The season kicked off with three episodes, and new episodes will be released every Wednesday. Keep reading for a recap of Episode 1, the results, and everything else you need to know!

Beast Games Season 2 Episode 1 release date

The second season of Beast Games premiered on Prime Video on January 7th. MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, announced that Prime Video offered a 30-day free trial to celebrate the new season’s release.

The show, called “Strong vs Smart Compete for $5,000,000,” pits physical strength against intelligence. Two hundred competitors were divided into teams: one team of 100 incredibly strong people, and another of 100 of the world’s brightest minds.

The second season started with the most skilled players suspended high above a challenging arena. Trapdoors opened below them, and they had to quickly climb down a pole. Then, they needed to pull up a rope with a weight attached – the weight was equal to about a third of their own body weight – and grab some colored blocks.

“This is literally insane,” player Autumn Reign Taylor said.

The team had to rebuild the tower of blocks after it fell, putting them back in the right sequence. The first fifty people to successfully complete this challenge moved on to the next round of Beast Games Season 2, while everyone else was out of the competition.

Beast Games Season 2 Episode 1 results

The next challenge for the remaining contestants tested their memory. MrBeast built towers of colored blocks, then knocked them down, and the players had to rebuild them exactly from memory. Those who didn’t perfectly recreate the towers were eliminated, cutting the group down to just 100 players remaining in Beast Games Season 2.

As the last competitors arrived in Beast City, they started making partnerships. Then, a big surprise: MrBeast gave them the option to take $100,000 and quit the competition.
