Ruby Wax was spotted at Heathrow Airport in London on Sunday, getting ready to fly to Australia to participate in the show, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
The 72-year-old actress and comedian will be appearing on the new series of the popular show, alongside stars like Martin Kemp, Lisa Riley, and Kelly Brook. The series begins on Sunday.
Ahead of her lengthy flight across the world, Ruby beamed as she headed to the terminal.
She first became well-known in 1985 for her role in the ITV sitcom Girls On Top. Later, she worked as an interviewer on programs like Ruby Wax Meets on the BBC.
Shona McGarty, known for her role on EastEnders, recently traveled to Australia, joining a growing number of celebrities heading to the country.
It comes after Shona McGarty became the third contestant to touch down in Brisbane Airport.

The 34-year-old actress, known for her role as Whitney Dean on the BBC soap opera from 2008 to 2024, was seen wearing a bright pink shirt, black bike shorts, and a baseball cap.
Shona wasn’t wearing her engagement ring after reports surfaced that she and her fiancé, David Bracken, had broken up. When asked what she’d miss about the UK, she responded simply, ‘Not much.’
Shona playfully told the Daily Mail she’d mistakenly boarded the wrong plane, responding to a question about why she was in Australia. Contestants aren’t supposed to publicly confirm they’re participating in the ITV show.
She continued: ‘I’m going to have to ask for directions back now.
‘I really want to see a kangaroo, I’ve never seen one in my life.’
Kelly Brook and Lisa Riley were the first celebrities to arrive in Australia for this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity,’ officially landing at Brisbane Airport.
Model and actress Kelly, 45, was the first to arrive, turning heads in a vibrant yellow and orange dress from Louisa Ballou costing £250. She described the dress as reminiscent of an ‘Australian sunset’.
I was so surprised to see her! She told the Daily Mail she was just visiting her Auntie Sheila, which is a clever way to avoid confirming anything about being on the ITV show – they’re not allowed to say anything official just yet, you know!

When asked what she would miss most about the UK, she said: ‘My dog Teddy and my husband Jeremy.
I’m really excited about surfing, catching up with a cousin I haven’t seen in ages, and seeing the koalas and kangaroos. I’m a little hesitant about camping under the stars, though – I’m hoping my cousin has a guest room available.
Lisa Riley, known for playing Mandy Dingle on Emmerdale for over a decade, was the second celebrity to enter the Australian jungle. She joked about a previous promotional trip to Australia, saying it was time for another ‘Dingle Down Under’ adventure.
The comment was in reference to the Emmerdale film, The Dingles Down Under, which came out in 1997.
The 49-year-old actress was seen with four suitcases, telling the Daily Mail she’d brought ‘lots of jewelry.’ She was wearing a low-cut nude top, black sweater draped over her shoulders, and leggings.
Lisa shared that her family is very supportive and thrilled she’s participating. She’s also not bothered by bugs or spiders, as she’s used to them from working on a farm – it just comes with playing the character of Mandy Dingle.
I’m really excited to meet everyone – I love being around people and I’m quite talkative! Plus, I enjoy all sorts of fun, traditionally feminine things, so I’ve brought plenty of stuff with me.
Lisa added: ‘There’s a lot of bling, I’ve just got many options.’
The actress, known for her role in a soap opera, said her 22-hour flight went surprisingly well because she got some sleep. Now, she’s going to a secluded spot to spend several days completely disconnected from her phone until filming for an upcoming show starts.
Several celebrities are heading to Australia, including YouTuber Angryginge (Morgan Burtwistle), musician Martin Kemp, comedian Ruby Wax, TV presenter Alex Scott, and Jack Osbourne. Comedian Eddie Kadi, rapper Aitch, and presenter Vogue Williams are also expected to join them.
This follows reports that she was seen leaving Heathrow Airport on Saturday, looking more casual than usual in a brown tracksuit.
Kelly is expected to recreate the famous bikini moment Myleene had on ITV back in 2006, which became widely known after the show aired.
Myleene once shared that the first white bikini she famously wore in 2006 ended up selling for an incredible £7,500 after appearing on television – especially considering she’d originally purchased it for only £40.
I’ve always been a huge fan of Kelly! She really broke through as a model, and I remember seeing her everywhere – she was famous for her amazing figure and really made a name for herself as a lingerie model and one of the Page Three girls in The Daily Star. It was a really exciting time, and she was absolutely stunning.
Before going on the show, she reportedly brought a lot of swimsuits, seemingly prepared for a memorable scene.
In 2018, Kelly stated she’d prefer almost anything – even working at her neighborhood pub – to being on the reality show set in the jungle.
She said on her Heart radio show that she has no desire to try the unusual foods featured on the show, like eyeballs or sheep testicles.
‘Even if I had a huge tax bill and I had to pay it really urgently, I still wouldn’t do it.’
After much consideration, she reportedly accepted a lucrative offer to join the show, alongside well-known actors, musicians, and comedians. The show is set to return later this month.
