Lesley Manville is back as Susan Ryeland, a book editor who also solves mysteries, in the BBC’s Marble Hall Murders. This new TV series is based on the third and last book in Anthony Horowitz’s popular mystery series.
Coming soon to BBC One and iPlayer, this series centers around Susan, who lands a major editing assignment. She’s tasked with working on the latest novel by Atticus Pünd, penned by a struggling young writer, but soon finds herself suspected of murder.
Detective Atticus Pünd, played by Tim McMullan, finds himself investigating a murder while on a trip to the island of Corfu. Lady Margaret Chalfont, portrayed by Patricia Hodge, is the victim, and Pünd teams up with Greek detective Achilles Vassilikos (Zubin Varla) to uncover what happened to her and examine her family.

Like previous books in the series, this mystery blends fictional and real-life crimes. The story, set in 1955 on the Greek island of Corfu, involves a hidden identity of a true criminal within the text, and Susan will once again be in serious peril as she investigates.
This third installment adds several new faces to the detective team, including Jamie Blackley (from The Last Kingdom) playing the writer adapting Poirot’s latest case, and Mark Bonnar (Ludwig) as Elmer Waysmith.
The cast also includes Daniel Cerqueira from This City Is Ours, Harry Lloyd known for Game of Thrones, Rupert Penry-Jones from Whitechapel, Anneika Rose of Line of Duty, and Danny Sapani who appears in Killing Eve.
