The BBC is premiering its new ’80s-set drama The Bombing of Pan Am 103 tonight.
In this exciting tale I’m diving into, it boasts some familiar faces from the small screen. I’ll be joining forces with Connor Swindells, known for his roles in SAS Rogue Heroes and Sex Education, not to mention Eddie Marsan from Back to Black, Phyllis Logan of Downton Abbey fame, and last but certainly not least, Patrick J Adams from Suits. Quite the star-studded lineup, don’t you think?
I was immersed in a gripping narrative that recounts the heart-wrenching incident of Pan Am Flight 103 being bombed over the small Scottish town of Lockerbie in 1988. This devastating event took the lives of 270 innocent souls, among them 43 British citizens and 190 Americans.
Over several decades, the two countries collaborate on a prolonged, transnational investigation that spans Scotland, the United States, and Malta.
Additionally, the series delves into how the explosion affects the loved ones of the victims, the local community, and even the team responsible for the investigation.

Tonight at 9pm, the initial episode out of a series of six is set to broadcast on BBC One. Additionally, you can stream this episode on BBC iPlayer too.
Globally, excluding the United Kingdom, Netflix is set to premiere the show initially; however, a specific release date has not been announced as of now.

The film titled “The Bombing of Pan Am 103” features actors such as Lauren Lyle from Outlander, Tony Curran, Kevin McKidd known for Grey’s Anatomy, Merritt Wever from Severance, Nicholas Gleaves who starred in After the Flood, and Peter Mullan.
The following individuals – Molly Geddes, Cora Bissett, Douglas Hodge, Andrew Rothney, Parker Sawyers, James Harkness, Khalid Laith, and Amanda Drew – are also part of the show’s cast.
Recently, ITV broadcast a standalone drama named “Lockerbie: In Pursuit of Truth“, featuring Colin Firth in the lead role.
The airing of “The Bombing of Pan Am 103” is set for 9 PM on Sunday, 18th May, exclusively on BBC One and iPlayer in the United Kingdom. At a future time, this production will be accessible on Netflix worldwide.
