The BBC has announced season 3 of The Capture with new and returning cast members.
In 2019, this gripping spy series made its debut, returning for another season in 2022. On the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, it boasts an impressive nearly perfect rating of 96%.
After the first two seasons were added to Netflix in January, it’s now official that there will be a third season on BBC.

Holiday Grainger once again steps into the role of Detective Rachel Carey, alongside Ben Miles, Indira Varma, Lia Williams, Ginny Holder, and Ron Perlman, who are all set to rejoin the cast as well.
For season 3, we have new additions including Andrew Buchan from Broadchurch, Killian Scott known for Kaos, Joe Dempsie famous for Game of Thrones, Hugh Quarshie, a regular on Holby City, and Amanda Drew, who has been featured in Gangs of London.
After the occurrences in season 2, Rachel now serves as the interim chief at So15 and is committed to rebuilding public trust in security camera systems via Operation Veritas.
The story begins as a violent and meticulously planned terrorist assault on the British elite results in just one survivor, setting events into motion that draw Rachel into a complex tangle of hidden conspiracies and brutal violence.
Under difficult circumstances, with only a few reliable confidants, and amidst escalating global conflicts, will Rachel manage to uncover the core problem?
I’m delighted to rejoin the cast of The Capture for season 3, according to Grainger. Ben Chanan’s scripts continue to spark excitement, and I can’t wait to return to the universe of Commander Rachel Carey (Spoiler alert!)
Scott, who’s reportedly stepping into a crucial position, commented: “I believe Ben has crafted something truly exceptional with The Capture, an up-to-date espionage thriller that exudes both realistic and compelling charm. I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of the team for season 3.
Filming is underway for the third season of The Capture, which consists of six episodes. This season is scheduled to be broadcast on BBC One and will also be available for streaming on iPlayer, both located in the south of England.
