The official synopsis describes a series titled “Counsels.” This show focuses on a gang of young lawyers residing in Glasgow, at a point where, several years after graduating from university, their professional lives start to gain real traction.

In various sectors of law, individuals serve in roles such as public prosecutors, corporate lawyers, or advocates for the less fortunate. Regardless of their position, they all share a common goal – to emerge victorious. They are colleagues vying for advancement, partners trying to maintain their relationship amidst escalating ambitions, and opponents both professionally and personally. The competition is heating up, and tensions are about to reach boiling point.

Regarding the show, co-creator Bryan Elsley expressed his excitement: “I’m thrilled to be working alongside Gillian McCormack on Counsels. We can’t wait to showcase a wealth of talented actors, writers, and directors from Scotland. Entirely set in Glasgow, our aim is to create a lively portrayal of the city, teeming with captivating tales and characters.

Simultaneously, Louise Thornton, the Head of Commissioning at BBC Scotland, commented that the characters’ personal and work lives would be just as captivating and intense as the cases they handle.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t wait to share that the much-anticipated release of our favorite series is still under wraps regarding its exact launch date. However, once it graces our screens, you’ll find it streaming on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, and BBC Scotland. Stay tuned for more updates!
