BBC’s “binge-worthy” returning mystery thriller gets exciting update

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is almost back for another case, with a host of new faces.

In the second season of the BBC’s murder mystery, actress Emma Myers continues her portrayal as the amateur detective Pip Fitz-Amobi, a role she first played in previous episodes.

In the next season, based on Holly Jackson’s novels, the storyline continues as a fresh mystery unfolds following Pip’s resolution of Andie Bell’s murder from last season, potentially straining some relationships along the way.

What to Read Next

In the upcoming second season of the popular series, often referred to as an entertaining and hard-to-resist watch, Myers will be accompanied by fresh faces along with familiar stars once more.

In the mix of the fresh cast members, Misia Butler, who plays Kaos in the series, has been assigned the role of Stanley Forbes. This character is peripheral to Pip’s inquiry but might have ties that could prove more intricate than initially perceived.

In this production, Eden Hambelton-Davies takes on the role of Jamie Reynolds, Connor’s sibling and a well-liked, low-key local musician. His sudden disappearance triggers Pip’s probe into the mystery.

Additionally, Jack Rowan has been introduced as Charlie Green, the latest resident next door to Pip, finding himself deeply entangled in an exciting and freshly unfolding mystery.

Jackson, who is responsible for both the novels and season 2 of AGGGTM, expressed his enthusiasm by saying he’s thrilled to bring on board some fresh and exceptionally skilled actors as part of our team.

As a gamer, let me tell you, Eden knocked it out of the park playing Jamie. His absence was palpable yet his presence was felt everywhere. Misia was spot on as Stanley Forbes, giving us a performance that tugged at our heartstrings. But Jack as Charlie Green? Extraordinary doesn’t even begin to cover it. I found myself compelled to leap up and applaud right there at the monitors. Trust me, you won’t want to miss his act!

To complete our season 2 lineup, we have added Anna Brindle, Peter Sullivan, Freddie Thorp, Lu Corfield, Stephanie Street, and Freddie England to the cast.

In the first season, we’ll see the return of Zain Iqbal as Ravi Singh, Henry Ashton as Max Hastings, Asha Banks as Cara Ward, Yali Topol Margalith as Lauren Gibson, and Jude Morgan-Collie as Connor Reynolds.

After resolving the Andie Bell mystery, Pip’s life has taken a turn due to her actions, not all of which have been positive changes.

As a dedicated gamer, I’m all set on resolving that Fallout, keeping myself clear of any further probes. However, just as Max Hastings’ trial is about to unfold, my brother Jamie mysteriously vanishes. Now, it’s an urgent mission for me: find Jamie before time runs out!

Exploring this fresh enigma will lead Pip to unforeseen destinations, challenging her perception of fairness and causing her to drift even more from the virtuous image she previously held.

You can now stream the first season of “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” on both Netflix and BBC iPlayer. As for the release date of season 2, that information has yet to be announced.
