BBC’s 100%-rated Wallace & Gromit movie confirms Christmas release date
As a lifelong fan of Wallace & Gromit, the news that “Vengeance Most Fowl” is coming to our screens this Christmas has filled my heart with more joy than a cheese-laden cracker. I’ve been waiting for their return since the days when I would eagerly rush home from school to catch a glimpse of their adventures.
This holiday season, Wallace & Gromit are set to reintroduce the character Feathers McGraw in their film titled “Wallace & Gromit: The Fowl Revenge.
It’s been verified by the BBC that the highly praised new film, currently boasting a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, will make its debut on BBC iPlayer and BBC One on Christmas Day.
The exact broadcast time on BBC One for the movie hasn’t been set yet, but you can catch a glimpse of the new trailer right here.
For the whole month of December, BBC One will play special identities (the short animations that appear between programs) showcasing Wallace, Gromit, and a new character named Norbot to celebrate the festive TV debuts.
The eagerly anticipated comeback of the beloved Wallace & Gromit occurs in “Wallace & Gromit: Revenge of the Feathered Fiend,” their first adventure in 16 years.
Wallace presents his latest creation – a smart garden gnome named Norbot, capable of handling any gardening chore or enhancement. However, Gromit, as usual, expresses worries, and justifiably so, as Norbot starts to exhibit a mischievous and even malicious mind of its own.
Or is it possible that the infamous adversary of the duo, Feathers McGraw – who is now imprisoned in a zoo due to the happenings of “The Wrong Trousers” – could secretly be orchestrating these events?
The production titled “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl” showcases Ben Whitehead in the role of Wallace, while Peter Kay reprises his character as Chief Inspector Macintosh, and Lauren Patel joins as the enthusiastic recruit PC Mukherjee.
In the upcoming full-length film, Reece Shearsmith lends his voice to Wallace’s latest creation, Norbot. Notable appearances are made by Diane Morgan, Adjoa Andoh, Muzz Khan, and Lenny Henry in cameo roles.
If you’re chomping at the bit for Christmas, why not indulge yourself by streaming all the past escapades of Wallace and his canine companion Gromit, which include “The Wrong Trousers,” on BBC iPlayer right away?
Wallace & Gromit’s “Revenge of the Gruffalor” airs on Christmas Day, both on BBC iPlayer and BBC One. Starting from January 3, 2025, this production will be available worldwide, excluding the UK, on Netflix.
