BBC presenter Jo Coburn has decided to step down after 28 years.
As a dedicated gamer speaking in my own voice, I’m sharing some news that might interest fellow enthusiasts: Starting from the end of May, I, the host you’ve come to know on the daily politics show named “Politics Live,” which made its debut back in 2018, will be parting ways with the BBC. This change is on the horizon, and I thought it was important to share this update with my audience.
It was an honor to moderate the Daily Politics and Politics Live shows, providing coverage for the turbulent political happenings over the past ten years, as the broadcaster expressed in their statement.
It’s now my turn to pass along my responsibilities and let another take charge, yet I’ve cherished every moment, particularly the camaraderie with my colleagues and the countless guests who have graced the studio daily with their presence.

A number of her BBC comrades have honored Coburn, an individual who began working for the network back in 1997, serving as a Westminster reporter.
According to Executive Editor Politics Hilary O’Neill, Jo has transformed “Politics Live” into the show it is now, where viewers tune in confident that they will be skillfully led through the most significant political news while also finding it engaging and easy to understand.
Jo serves as a skilled forensic interviewer and captivating speaker, utilizing her extensive political expertise to question ministers about the concerns most relevant to the public. Her departure will undoubtedly leave a significant void, not only among the audience but also within her professional circle.

Richard Burgess, the News Content Director, acknowledged Coburn’s significant impact on our news coverage, praising her for nearly three decades of dedication and influence in political journalism.
Many people have gained insights through Jo’s insightful interviews, as she skillfully moderates intellectual conversations and debates spanning various political viewpoints,” Burgess added. “We extend our best wishes to her for her future endeavors.
Apart from her work on Politics Live, Coburn additionally serves as a reliever for the BBC News Channel and has made appearances on BBC Radio 4 shows such as The World This Weekend.
