BBC sitcom starring Hugh Bonneville and Olivia Colman to get reboot after 13 years – with a twist

The popular British comedy series “Twenty Twelve” is set for a revival thirteen years since it ended, introducing an exciting fresh take.

The initial program adopted a mockumentary style, chronicling the preparations for the 2012 London Olympics, and later gave birth to another series titled “W1A“, focusing on day-to-day life within the BBC.

According to Deadline’s latest report, it’s officially confirmed that the BBC has given the go-ahead for a new series titled “Twenty Twenty Six,” and Huge Bonneville will reprise his role as Ian Fletcher.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that while familiar faces like Olivia Colman graced the original series, Emma Bonneville will now be joined by an exciting new ensemble. This includes Paulo Costanzo from Designated Survivor, Chelsey Crisp of Fresh off The Boat, Stephen Kunken known for his work in The Handmaid’s Tale, Nick Blood from Slow Horses, Jimena Larraguivel of Patience, Alexis Michalik who starred in A Love Story, and lastly, Belinda Stewart-Wilson hailing from Stay Close. Initially, the show named “Twenty Twelve” aired over two seasons from 2011 to 2012, whereas another series called “W1A” premiered in the year 2014 and lasted for three seasons until it ended in 2017.

The performances showcased a stellar ensemble, with Jessica Hynes from “Paddington,” who portrayed beloved character Siobhan Sharpe in both series, joining the cast along with Amelia Bullmore known for “Scott & Bailey,” Jason Watkins famous for “The Crown,” Monica Dolan recognized from “Mr. Bates vs The Post Office,” and Sarah Parish, star of “Bancroft.
