Jack Docherty is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to once again portray Scotland’s top crime-busting icon, Chief Commissioner Cameron Miekelson, in the second season of “The Chief“.
According to the BBC’s report, the highly successful sitcom is currently being filmed for its second season, with the team working on a brand new four-episode series in Glasgow this week.
In other news, the creator and host of “The Chief,” Docherty, has disclosed that actor Dougray Scott, known for his roles in “Mission: Impossible 2” and “Crime,” will appear as a guest star in season two of the show.
Docherty mentioned his excitement that Dougray Scott will make a guest appearance,” said he. “Fans in Scotland have eagerly anticipated seeing these two outstanding actors on screen together. Now, the moment has arrived. We’ll be going head-to-head. At last. It’s reminiscent of DeNiro and Pacino in The Heat.
In response to this feeling, Scott, who is set to appear as himself, expressed his eagerness. “I can’t wait to hang out with The Chief,” said the actor. “He’s a legend in his own right, an enormously passionate advocate for justice and laugh-out-loud funny…without even trying,” he mused.

Although I’ve worked with big names in Hollywood, acting alongside ‘The Chief’ could be one of the toughest roles I’ve taken on yet, humorously speaking. In all seriousness, it will be fantastic to collaborate with Jack Docherty; I just hope I can manage not to laugh during our scenes!
In the upcoming episodes of Docherty and Scott, we’ll see familiar faces Lorraine McIntosh and Eilidh Loan returning to portray Barbara Miekelson, the ex-wife, and Ellen Miekelson, the daughter, respectively. Additionally, Carmen Pieraccini, Dylan Bore, and Lana Pheutan will reappear as Katriona Muldoon, Paul Weir, and Lyndsey McLeod.

As I, a passionate gamer, step into my latest role in Netflix’s Department Q, I find myself taking on a character who hails from a fresh administration. This character is an MSP, someone who exerts influence from the highest echelons, constantly applying pressure on the Chief from above.
At present, specifics about the plot aren’t fully revealed yet, but fans are eagerly anticipating more humorous escapades from Miekelson, as he juggles his professional and personal obligations.
Season one of The Chief is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
