BBC reveals first look at new Wallace & Gromit character after 14 years away

As a gamer who has spent countless hours navigating through various digital worlds, I can say that the new Wallace & Gromit adventure, Vengeance Most Fowl, promises to be an exciting addition to my virtual journey. The introduction of Norbot, a smart gnome with a mind of its own, is reminiscent of the rogue AI characters that often cause chaos in video games. I’m particularly intrigued by the voice cast, especially Reece Shearsmith, who brings Norbot to life.

Apart from Feathers McGraw, there are other antagonists that Wallace and Gromit will need to contend with during their return after a 14-year hiatus.

As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled to share the news that the BBC has unveiled a tantalizing sneak peek for Wallace & Gromit’s next adventure titled “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl”. This intriguing clip showcases Wallace’s latest genius creation – Norbot, an intelligent and versatile smart gnome engineered to tackle any gardening chore or enhance the role of a traditional garden gnome!

It sure does sound enchanting! Before long, Norbot became quite the favorite among the residents seeking assistance with their gardens… but then it appeared as though he was developing a mischievous personality all his own. For more details, take a peek at this video.

In this production, the latest character is given voice by Reece Shearsmith, whereas Ben Whitehead voices Wallace for the first time. Previously, Whitehead collaborated with Peter Sallis on various Wallace & Gromit appearances together.

The initial adventure of Wallace & Gromit since their 2010 television series “Wallace & Gromit: World of Inventions” is “Vengeance Most Fowl”. This also marks their second full-length film, following “The Curse of the Were-Rabbit” from 2005.

In the United Kingdom, a 79-minute film is set to debut both on BBC iPlayer and BBC One this Christmas season. Meanwhile, it will become available worldwide (excluding the UK) on Netflix during winter.

In June, it emerged that the upcoming film “Vengeance Most Fowl” would reintroduce the renowned supervillain, Feathers McGraw. However, as of now, we’re unsure about the part this cunning penguin will perform in the movie plot.

Additionally, the ensemble includes Peter Kay, Lauren Patel, Diane Morgan, Adjoa Andoh, Lenny Henry, and Muzz Khan; however, details about their respective roles are still being kept under wraps.

“With great pleasure, we present Norbot – a quirky garden-assisting robot dwarf, specially crafted to aid Gromit in his gardening tasks,” shared directors Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham.

“So far, Norbot stands as Wallace’s greatest accomplishment, and he himself calls it his ‘greatest invention yet!’. While garden gnomes have always been a part of the world created by Wallace and Gromit, Norbot is not your typical lawn ornament. This is a ‘smart-gnome’, the top-tier version of the traditional gnome.”

“Wallace is eagerly debuting his new creation, Norbot, to the world. But it remains to be seen if his loyal dog, Gromit, will share in the enthusiasm…”

Shearsmith expressed: “Being a big aficionado of Wallace & Gromit, working with Nick, Merlin, and the crew at Aardman on creating Norbot has been an absolute delight. It’s truly been a pleasure to be part of this thrilling tale.”

“I think fans of all ages are in for a treat, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it!”

This coming Christmas, Wallace & Gromit’s special, “Vengeance Most Fowl,” will be aired on both BBC iPlayer and BBC One in the United Kingdom. However, for viewers residing outside of the UK, Netflix has planned to release the movie globally during this winter season.
