Looking for a gripping European thriller to watch all at once? Check out Hidden Assets, now available on BBC iPlayer. It’s full of suspense and filmed across multiple locations.
I’m really into this show! It’s a cool collaboration between Ireland, Belgium, and Canada, and it ran for three seasons on Irish TV from 2021 to 2025. Each season has six episodes, and it’s all about the Irish Criminal Assets Bureau teaming up with detectives in Belgium and Spain to fight terrorism. It’s a great premise!
Angeline Ball starred as DS Emer Berry in the first season, and Nora-Jane Noone took on the role of DS Claire Wallace for seasons two and three.

I’ve been totally hooked on this new series! It was created by Peter McKenna, and honestly, the BBC description nails it – it’s a super tense, race-against-time thriller. The cast is fantastic too, with Aaron Monaghan, Cathy Belton, Simone Kirby, Wouter Hendrickx, and Kwaku Fortune all bringing their A-game.
Despite receiving little attention from critics – only a few reviews for the first season appear on Rotten Tomatoes – the show has been well-received by viewers, who often describe it as a strong police drama on IMDb.

As a huge Doctor Who fan, I was so excited to see that two lost episodes have just popped up on iPlayer! It’s amazing they were found after all this time.
The BBC recently made two episodes, ‘The Nightmare Begins’ and ‘Devil’s Planet’, from the classic serial The Daleks’ Master Plan available to stream.
These two episodes first appeared in 1965 as part of the show’s third season. They were recently rediscovered by the Film Is Fabulous! charity, which located them in a private collection.
