Former BBC Breakfast host Nina Warhurst has announced the death of her father.

As a gamer, I just got some tough news from my favorite streamer. She posted about the tragic loss of her family member on Instagram, and it doesn’t feel like it’s actually happening yet. It’s hard to believe.

Nina posted a monochrome picture of herself with her deceased father, holding hands, and reflected on the poignant experience of being present during his last moments.

Nina sweetly summed up their last moments together as a “gentle end to a gentle life”.

She penned, ‘There’s an abundance of love, laughter, and sunshine on days I’ll always remember.’ Now he’s constantly in my thoughts as we navigate life without him. It’s hard to grasp that this is reality.

Nina mentioned that by disclosing her own situation, she aimed to provide solace to individuals encountering comparable predicaments. She emphasized the significance of understanding that “the conclusion can offer tranquility and elegance.

In the conclusion, she expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the staff and residents at the care home for taking care of her father and the entire family during the final week.

One of Nina’s previous colleagues at BBC Breakfast, Jon Kay, was among numerous individuals who posted messages of sympathy in response to the post.

Initially, Nina worked as a business news reporter on the BBC’s main morning program. Later, she took turns as the presenter. She recently left the BBC Breakfast show in March of this year after spending seven years there. Now, she is a member of the BBC News at One team.
