‘Looking gorgeous, I’ve just ordered the dress’

‘Looked absolutely lovely this morning’

As I stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Nina Warhurst and Jon Kay in the studio today, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement in the air. During her forecast, she shared that while some of us might be blessed with a pleasant day ahead, others may face a mix of luck – much like our weather can be unpredictable, as always.

As someone who has spent years observing the ever-changing skies, I can confidently say that this morning’s weather is a familiar dance of clouds and rain, a symphony that nature orchestrates daily. The patchy light rain we’re experiencing now reminds me of the drizzle I used to watch from my childhood window, as it gently tapped on the pane, urging me to put on my raincoat and venture out into the world.

For the upcoming days, the weather is expected to be rather unpredictable. The temperature will drop slightly compared to what we’ve experienced so far, and there’s a chance of showers tomorrow. Additionally, we might catch glimpses of sunlight here and there too.

After long anticipation, she displayed a radiant look following the star’s health update that was shared with viewers on Tuesday.

Recently, viewers have observed Carol dealing with a raspy voice and persistent cough during her weather broadcasts.

During the broadcast, as Carol passed the conversation to hosts Sally Nugent and Jon Kay, Sally commended Carol by saying, “You came close to going all the way there, Carol, great job!”

Carol then clarified: ‘I know. It’s this pesky 100-day cough. It just keeps giving. It won’t go.’

Pertussis, often referred to medically, is a type of bacterial chest infection that typically advances through three distinct phases. The initial phase often resembles a typical cold.

Sufferers can then be left with a chronic cough that remains for several weeks.

Following her disclosure about her ailment, Sally responded with “I hope you get well soon,” before Jon chimed in with “Give it half an hour, and we’ll have another go and catch up later!”

In a recent, uncommon moment of reflection, I found myself candidly addressing my past marriage during an engaging conversation with The Times. In this discussion, I couldn’t help but share some thoughts about my former union.

Last December, the weather broadcaster got married at Cliveden House to her husband, Steve Randall, a 49-year-old police officer who is 13 years younger than her.

From 1990 until their separation in 2008, she was in a marriage with property developer Jimmy Kirkwood.

However, surprisingly, she made a heartfelt remark to the press: “Love shines even brighter on a second go. I hold no ill feelings towards my former spouse, but this feels more fulfilling.”

The cheeky comment came as a rare comment about her past love life as Carol has never previously spoken about her divorce or the reasons she went down that path.
