BBC bosses confirm when The Traitors series three will end – and fans can expect a major change!
According to the BBC, the upcoming season of The Traitors will conclude with a special extended episode, marking its final installment.
The third season of the show premiered this month, and it’s brought on some fresh competitors. At Ardross Castle in Scotland, our host, Claudia Winkleman, aged 52, divided the group into Traitors and Faithfuls.
To date, we’ve seen three episodes unfold, and they’ve already brought unexpected turns for the competitors, with one happening mere minutes after the start.
The BBC has officially set the final episode’s broadcast date as January 24th.
The episode will run for 70 minutes, which is typically longer than weekly episodes of the show.
The latest final will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 8:30pm to 9:40pm.
In the newly started series, they mentioned that this year’s finale will deviate from past finals.
During the show’s premiere, Claudia disclosed that banned players from the previous episode would no longer be able to unveil if they were a Traitor or a Loyalist.
In the course of the show, those among the Faithful who don’t know the Traitors’ true identities strive to identify and eliminate them. This is crucial because the only way to secure the reward is by expelling all Traitors from the competition.
If all Traitors have been eliminated before the game ends, the prize money will be awarded. But if any Traitors remain until the final moments of the game, they will receive the prize fund instead.
Earlier, when players who were expelled at the end of the game were revealed as either Traitors or Faithful, it served as a hint to the other participants about the possible number of each type that might still be active in the competition.
However, this won’t be the case for the latest contestants due to the format change.
During the initial meeting with the team, Claudia shared the news, stating, “This year, winning the prize will call for a greater level of intelligence than we’ve seen before. Please pay close attention.

Recently, the audience saw the expulsion of Arman, the Traitor, who had entered the castle with her little sister Maia. Arman became the initial Traitor to fall from grace, following the removal of four Faithful members by their own ranks.
As she left the performance, the 27-year-old financial investigator from London confessed that her undoing was due to speaking too boldly.
In my experience, I’d say, “Initially, I had a plan, but it unraveled almost instantly.” Or, more casually, “My strategy was thrown out the window in the blink of an eye.
Initially, I planned to keep a low profile, interacting with various individuals while keeping my views under wraps. However, my natural tendency took over, leading me to chat excessively with everyone present.

Regardless of thinking there might have been other ways to handle it, Armani admitted she found the entire encounter quite enjoyable.
