The executives at the BBC have addressed fan worries about the continuation of Doctor Who, guaranteeing supporters that the series will persist, whether it’s with or independent of Disney.
In the past few months, there’s been a lot of debate about whether the science fiction series will carry on, with its creator, Russell T Davies, himself stating that he’s still unsure about its future.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the future of our beloved series. Although Ncuti Gatwa’s era in the show has been made possible through a collaboration between BBC and Disney, it’s reassuring to know that the BBC chief content officer, Kate Phillips, has confirmed that the show will continue to thrive, even if Disney decides to step back. As reported by Deadline, Disney has been a fantastic collaborator, and this partnership continues with “The War Between The Land And The Sea” set for release next year.
