BBC announces new Gavin and Stacey radio special
As a long-time fan who’s lived through countless viewings of Gavin and Stacey, this news has sent waves of nostalgic joy coursing through my veins! The prospect of spending a festive morning with the entire cast on BBC Radio 2 Breakfast is like receiving an early Christmas present. I can almost hear Pam’s laughter echoing in my ears as I imagine the gang reminiscing and sharing behind-the-scenes tales.
The BBC has announced a new Gavin and Stacey radio special with Ruth Jones and James Corden.
Just before the much-anticipated return of the popular sitcom for its Christmas Day special, following a five-year break, Gavin and Stacey will be taking over BBC Radio 2 Breakfast with Jones and Corden as hosts. The special is titled “Gavin and Stacey’s Takeover“.
On December 23rd, between 6:30 am and 9:30 am, the duo will be accompanied by Joanna Page, Matthew Horne, Rob Brydon, Alison Steadman, Larry Lamb, and Rob Wilfort. During this time, they will share behind-the-scenes secrets from the Christmas special, reminisce about their experiences throughout the series, and exchange fond memories.
The cast will talk about their favorite holiday customs, share some fantastic tunes that complement the program, and warmly invite you to join them in celebrating Christmas.
