Baywatch Star’s $60K Stalking Ordeal

Alexandra Paul, most recognized for her portrayal of Stephanie Holden on Baywatch, shared details about her harrowing experience with a stalker in an interview with The Ankler.

The actress, 61, revealed that she was stalked for 13 years, and it cost her $60,000 in legal fees.

Alexandra wrote a story that began back in December 2011, when a woman and her younger sibling unexpectedly came to her door, seeking to utilize the bathroom.

She allowed them access to her house to use the bathroom, and over the following few days, this lady continued to leave notes for her. This prompted Alexandra’s spouse to contact the phone number provided in the notes, asking her to stop bothering them.

The situation intensified, leading her to purchase a new residence just a short walk away from their home in Pacific Palisades.

Alexandra began her acting career in 1982 in the movie Paper Dolls.

In the ’80s, I graced the silver screen in several iconic films: Christine (1983), Just the Way You Are (1984), American Flyers (1985), 8 Million Ways to Die (1986), and a pair of Dragnet remakes, one in 1987.

In 1992, the actress earned the part of Stephanie Holden in Baywatch, a role she continued playing for five consecutive years as a regular member of the show’s main cast.

In the opinion piece, Alexandra recounts that the woman, who she noted had German ancestry, contacted her mother in Oregon and penned a long letter revealing herself as Alexandra’s hidden romantic partner.

She said she won’t name her because that is what a stalker wants. 

She also accused Alexandra’s husband Ian Murray of cheating and being violent toward her.

Additionally, Alexandra mentioned that the stalker distributed fliers in her community, alleging that Ian was physically abusing her.

She revealed that the stalker also called police and claimed that Ian was beating her up.

Alexandra stated that she persistently bothered both her and her spouse, leading to their arrest by the police on a warrant due to this harassment.

Originally residing outside the U.S., she broke immigration laws and had a history of burglary. This resulted in her forced removal from the country, but not for long – she managed to secretly re-enter the U.S. through Canada shortly afterwards.

She continued to launch an attack on Ian and his career, claiming he was a pedophile.

Despite believing themselves to be secure, it required six weeks for the stalker to locate them once more, enabling him to resume his harassment and stalking towards her and her spouse.

Nine months later, she was arrested again after the FBI got involved.

Alexandra was informed that the stalker had been diagnosed with breast cancer and uterine tumors. The Los Angeles prosecutor’s office inquired whether they could grant her early release to spend her remaining days at home.

After agreeing to it, the woman was released, and she passed at age 41 on July 29, 2024.
