Actor Floyd Levine has died aged 93.
Known for acting in TV shows like Murder, She Wrote, and Babylon 5: Thirdspace, as well as Baywatch and Cagney and Lacey, and for sharing screen time with stars such as Al Pacino in Dog Day Afternoon and The Hangover, a long-time Hollywood star passed away on Sunday.
The news of his passing was shared on Thursday through an Instagram post by his daughter-in-law Tracy Robbins. She posted several images of the actor, known for his roles as Abe the Tailor in Norbit and an unnamed tailor in The Hangover, alongside the announcement.
Kris Jenner promptly expressed her condolences towards Tracy following the unfortunate news, by reaching out with a heartfelt message: ‘I’m deeply sorry for your loss, Tracy and Brian… Sending our thoughts and prayers to the entire family, along with an abundance of love.’
Tracy shared the news that her dear father-in-law, Floyd Levine, passed away serenely on August 24. He was surrounded by his loving family (and possibly longing for someone to serve him a martini).
A delightful man who excelled as a loving grandfather, an amusing joker, and a devoted father-in-law, Floyd cherished Frank Sinatra’s music, appreciated classic movies, and had a knack for making people smile.

Originally, Floyd worked as a taxi driver in New York City. However, he subsequently ventured to California, pursuing ambitions in Hollywood. Throughout this journey, he established an impressive acting career. Notably, his son Brian bears a striking resemblance to him, and whenever we gaze upon Brian, we can’t help but see Floyd’s smile.
‘I will miss his humour, stories, and F- bombs that Stella made a lot of money off of!
Cheers to my eternal Brooklynite, Floyd! May your martinis remain chilled and Sinatra tunes play on without pause. I imagine there might be an audition in heaven, and you were the first one there, holding your lines ready…
He’ll be deeply missed, yet I believe he’s bringing joy to the angels now, and embracing his beloved Rochelle once more. Send my warmest regards, love.
‘Don’t worry, I will take care of your baby boy always and forever. Love you grandpa.
Absolutely! You stuck to your methods right until the finish line – with a heart full of courage, a drink in hand, and the spirit of the Statue of Liberty guiding you. 💗🍹🏛️
Floyd appeared in several films, with notable roles such as portraying Abe the Tailor opposite Eddie Murphy in Norbit (2007), and playing a tailor again in the comedy movie The Hangover from 2009, which featured Bradley Cooper in its cast.

In my journey, I began my professional path behind the wheel of a taxi, but eventually found my true calling in acting. Notably, I am the proud parent of film producer Brian Robbins, whose impressive resume spans projects such as “A Quiet Place” and “Mission: Impossible.
Apart from his extensive body of work, he was also seen in the movies “Coach Carter” and “Night Shift,” sharing screen time with Michael Keaton on these occasions.
In the early 1980s, when Brian’s son started his acting career, he chose to adopt the surname of his mother. In separate episodes of “Archie Bunker’s Place” on CBS, both father and son made their appearances in 1981 and 1982.
Additionally, they starred alongside each other in the ABC series “Head of the Class,” with Floyd portraying a judge and Brian taking on the role of a student named Eric Mardian.
In his later career, Floyd made guest appearances on the Nickelodeon shows Kenan & Kel and portrayed a character as an ice cream vendor in Good Burger.
