In the final three months of the year as outlined in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Esports, things have historically been quite dull when it comes to official tournaments and events. However, unofficial competitions have been the norm during this timeframe. But, by the year 2025, that trend is set to be broken at last.

BMSD 2025: Schedule and Format

The Battlegrounds Mobile Showdown (BMSD) is scheduled to commence immediately following the conclusion of the current BGMI Masters Series (BGMS). Notably, the winners of this event will secure a place at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025 in Thailand. According to reports, BMSD will be an exclusive LAN tournament.

The final matches and group stage games are scheduled to occur in Hyderabad. Starting on September 18th, 2025, and lasting until October 12th, 2025, the BMSD tournament will unfold. Each team will engage in intense competition within the virtual world of Battlegrounds Mobile India nearly every day during this period.

Earlier in 2022, the winners of our initial Battlegrounds Mobile Star Series (BMSD) tournament were invited to attend a special event following the PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI). Now, with increased excitement, the victorious team will be awarded a chance to compete at the more prestigious PMGC – the premier esports spectacle for PUBG Mobile.

In addition to the current tournament, we’re also planning another Battle Grounds Mobile India (BGMI) esports event known as the BGMI India-Korea-Japan Invitational. According to recent speculation, the winners of this tournament could secure a chance to compete again at PMGC 2025. This means that Indian teams will have both a guaranteed and potential opportunity to represent their country in international PUBG Mobile esports competitions.

Battlegrounds Mobile India BMSD 2025: Participating Teams

2025’s Battlefield Showdown (BMSD) will be a private event, meaning there won’t be any opportunities for open qualifiers. A sum of 48 teams have been selected to participate in this competition, among which are the top 16 finalist teams from both the 2025 Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) and the 2025 Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series (BMPS).

Additionally to these 32 teams, another 16 teams that have been performing exceptionally well lately and fulfill the required criteria will also receive invitations. The top eight teams from both of the mentioned competitions will be placed in the higher brackets.

As a gamer, I’ve got to say, it seems like the last eight squads might end up in the lower tiers for now. Unfortunately, the full lineup of teams hasn’t been revealed yet. Once we get our hands on more details, I promise to keep you posted!

Prize Pool

The competing teams will strive to win an impressive total of one Crore Indian Rupees, collectively referred to as the Prize Fund. In addition to this grand amount, individual accolades such as the Most Valuable Player (MVP), Best IGL, and others will also come with cash awards. Traditionally, the champions will receive the largest portion, but other teams will also be awarded their fair share of the prize money.

As of now, the official details about the prize pool distribution haven’t been released yet. However, we encourage you to stay tuned because we will provide updates as soon as we have more information. It’s worth noting that the primary reward of this tournament isn’t the cash prize, but rather the opportunity to represent internationally.

Where to watch the BMSD 2025

Given that this tournament is exclusive and has a coveted international spot up for grabs, the competing teams will undoubtedly strive to showcase their finest performances. This promises to be an exciting spectacle worth anticipating. The entire event is scheduled to take place in the vibrant city of Hyderabad.

2025 brings us the BMSD 2025 Tournament, a LAN event hosted by Krafton. As of now, they haven’t confirmed whether spectators will be allowed to attend. However, anticipation suggests that the Grand Finals could occur in an exhibition center, granting fans a chance to witness their favorite teams in person.
