As a seasoned Overwatch 2 player with countless hours under my belt, I can confidently say that the return of Battle of the Beasts is a cause for celebration! This game mode has always been one of my favorites, and I’ve spent many a late night strategizing with friends to emerge victorious.

The first week of the Overwatch 2 Anniversary Event 2024 has begun! Alongside Community Crafted Mode, you can also enjoy the return of Battle of the Beasts, now called Beast Hunt for this year. Let me explain how Battle of the Beasts functions in Overwatch 2 and provide tips to secure a win.
Overwatch 2 Battle of the Beasts game mode
The Battle of Beasts will be playable until October 1st during the Overwatch 2 Anniversary Event in 2024. This is a competitive four-player versus four-player (4vs4) game where your team’s objective is to defeat the massive Orisa belonging to the enemy team. To start, head towards the arena located in New Junk City with your team’s Orisa as your guide.
Next, collaborate with your team to weaken the enemy Orisa. Simultaneously, engage in combat with the opposing players. Utilize strategic positions, aim for vital areas, and be cautious of Orisa’s ultimate ability. If you’re playing as Soldier: 76, use your Sprint ability to evade the pull effect.
After the initial assault on Orisa, you’ll find an objective emerging. Secure this objective to acquire the radiant orb hovering above it.

Afterward, chase that ball to the stage. If you manage to control the entire goal completely, it will boost Orisa’s full health.
Attack the enemy Orisa and team until the next objective pops up. Capture this objective, too.
Then, head back to the arena and defeat the enemy Orisa one more time to achieve victory.
